Autographed brochure by boxer Muhammad Ali Autographed brochure by boxer Muhammad Ali Muhammad Ali is an outstanding American boxer, public figure and philanthropist. He was born in 1942 under the name Cassius Clay, but after converting to Islam in 1964, he changed his name to Muhammad Ali, reflecting his beliefs and struggle for the rights of African Americans. Ali became a three-time world heavyweight champion and went down in history as one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century. His charisma, wit, and self-confidence made him not only a boxing idol, but also a symbol of fortitude and integrity. In 1983, Esquire magazine included him in the list of "50 Who Made the Difference" (50 people who changed the world). This initiative emphasized his importance as one of the greatest figures of the twentieth century, who influenced culture, sports and social movements. That evening at Avery Fisher Hall, located in Lincoln Center, Ali was recognized for his invaluable contribution to shaping modern society.   A book with autographs by chess players Mikhail Botvinnik, Anatoly Karpov, Tigran Petrosyan, Max Euwe, Mark Taimanov and others A book with autographs by chess players Mikhail Botvinnik, Anatoly Karpov, Tigran Petrosyan, Max Euwe, Mark Taimanov and others "We give you chess players — / From Alekhine to Tal ..." — the inscription begins with these lines not by chance: among the signatories are the greatest minds of domestic and foreign chess — brilliant players who have forever inscribed their names in the history of this sport. More than 50 chess players left their autographs on the pages of the book, among them the "King of Chess", twice Olympic world champion Mikhail Botvinnik; Alexander Alekhine, known for his non-standard discoveries and theoretical research in the field of chess; Mikhail Tal — an aggressive and non-standard player, nicknamed "The Magician from Riga"; Anatoly Karpov, famous for his careful preparation for the game and the ability to play for results; Tigran Petrosyan — the 9th world chess champion, holding this title for 8 years, as well as his colleague Boris Spassky, the 10th world chess champion. Another signatory, Max Euwe, distinguished himself by controlling the central positions on the chessboard and developing his pieces in harmony. A brilliant coach, chairman of the chess committee, deputy chairman of FIDE Mark Taimanov also left his autograph in the book. Judging by the date on the inscription, the book could have been signed during the 33rd drawing of the USSR Chess Championship in 1965, which took place from November 24 to December 24 in Tallinn. The tournament was won by Leonid Stein. Among the participants are Lev Polugaevsky, Mark Taimanov, Semyon Furman, Paul Keres, David Bronstein, Viktor Korchnoi, Evgeny Vasyukov, Gennady Kuzmin, Vladas Mikenas, who also left their autographs on the pages of the book. The publication itself is also interesting — the Chess Dictionary is a reference book intended for amateur and professional chess players. The book describes the basic rules of the game, as well as various tactics and strategies. In addition, the dictionary includes historical references explaining the origin and evolution of various chess concepts, which allows readers to better understand the rich history of the game. Among the signatories: Max Euwe, Lev Polugaevsky, Mark Taimanov, Miroslav Filip, Alexey Suetin, Tigran Petrosyan, Semyon Furman, Leonid Stein, Vasily Smyslov, Salomon Flor, Mikhail Tal, Ratmir Kholmov, Guillermo Esteves, Anatoly Karpov, Alexander Kotov, Gennady Kuzmin, Yuri Averbakh, Evgeny Vasyukov, Mikhail Yudovich, Viktor Korchnoi, Nikolai Krogius, Mikhail Botvinnik, Vladimir Antoshin, David Bronstein, Ivars Gipslis, Efim Geller, Anatoly Lane, Vladimir Tukmakov, Boris Spassky, Igor Bondarevsky, Friedrik Olafsson, William Lombardi, Josip Rukavina, Svetozar Gligorich, Ivo Ney, Eugenio Torre, Drazen Marovich, Bent Larsen, Ivan Radulov, Alexander Belyavsky, Lutz Espig, Robert Huebner, Miguel Quinteros, Michael Steen, Deje Forintosh, Vladas Mikenas, Paul Keres, Robert Byrne, Albin Planinz, Yuri Balashov, Hans Boehm, Vladimir Savon, Rafael Vaganian, Silvino Garcia, Wolfgang Ullman, Jan Smeikal, Miguel Cuellar, Oleg Romanishin, Levente Lendiel, Vlastimil Gort.

A handwritten letter signed by Nikolai Ritter, a figure in the sports and Olympic movement in Russia A handwritten letter signed by Nikolai Ritter, a figure in the sports and Olympic movement in Russia Nikolai Ritter writes a note to his friend on a postcard depicting a painting by Johannes Raphael Velle "They followed Him." The heroes of the painting are Jesus and the apostles - symbols of friendship and respect. In the letter, Ritter wishes good luck, joy and happiness, and asks to keep in touch with him. "I shake your hand tightly and hug you" - the letter ends with these warm words. In order to at least partially pay for a trip to Athens for the Olympic Games, Ritter got a job as a correspondent for the newspaper "Kyivlyanin" and the magazine "Cyclist" and also became the first Russian sports reporter in the history of the Olympics. He spoke enthusiastically about the Games: "The Olympics opens a new era of international sports competitions, which will eventually become a model of peaceful demonstrations and which our era requires more than ever" - and claimed that the volume of the note was not enough for him and he was ready to write folios about the Olympics.

Sincerely yours, MARK SPITZ" Mark was born in 1950 in Modesto, California. As a child, he loved to swim on American beaches, and his parents sent him to one of the strongest swimming clubs in the USA — Santa Clara. Spitz's first successes came when he turned 15. He won 4 gold medals at the Maccabi Games in Israel. Two years later, at the Pan American Games, he won 5 times in the heats at distances from 100 to 1500 m. And that was just the beginning. At the age of 18, Mark competed in the Olympic Games in Mexico City. Already here he expected to surpass the result of his idol Johnny Weissmuller, who won 5 gold medals at one Games. However, a change of coach and a severe cold prevented it. Mark won "only" two gold medals in the 4x100 and 4x200 m relay, silver in the 100 m butterfly and bronze in the 100-meter freestyle. The real fame came to Spitz at the 1972 Munich Games. Mark has conquered all 7 Olympic distances! Spitz's popularity did not decrease after the 1972 Olympic Games, he returned home not only with gold medals, but also with successful advertising contracts. According to the contract presented as an exhibit with the William Morris agency, Mark Spitz promoted a wide range of products - from swimwear and pool accessories to milk, razors and even hair dryers. In addition to maintaining a media image, Spitz has also appeared on television numerous times with stars such as Cher and Bob Hope.

Lyudmila Belousova and Oleg Protopopov The book "Golden skates with diamonds" with 2 autographs. Lyudmila Belousova is a Soviet figure skater, Honored Master of Sports, two-time Olympic figure skating champion paired with Oleg Protopopov. Oleg Protopopov is a Soviet figure skater, Honored Master of Sports, two-time Olympic champion. He started figure skating quite late, as his future partner, but before Belousova, he already had a bronze medal at the USSR Championship in '53. The future champions met by chance at a seminar of young coaches in Moscow in 1954 and decided to try to ride on the ice together. Then they realized that they were suitable for each other, both in sports and in life. The couple got married soon after. In figure skating, at the very beginning of their careers, they suffered setbacks, but perseverance and love soon bore fruit. In 1963, at the World Championships and at the European Championships, the pair took second place and took the first medals in the history of the USSR in figure skating on the international stage. A year later, at the Olympic Games in Innsbruck, athletes win gold, thereby Soviet figure skating adequately reaches the world level. "Golden Skates with Diamonds" is a book-a memoir of two outstanding figure skaters of the Soviet Union, a frank and honest dialogue between two people who love sports and each other, their joint life story: "... we sat down in front of our working tape recorder and began to tell ourselves about those distant days when we met for the first time, about how we learned to understand each other and how we learned to understand figure skating..."

Photos with 2 autographs. Alexey Ulanov and Irina Rodnina Photos with 2 autographs. Alexey Ulanov and Irina Rodnina Alexey Ulanov is a Soviet figure skater who competed in pair skating. Together with Irina Rodnina, he is the 1972 Olympic champion, four-time world and European champion, two-time USSR champion. Irina Rodnina is a ten-time world champion, three-time Olympic champion and eleven-time European champion in pair skating. She went down in history as an athlete who did not lose a single tournament, for which she was included in the Guinness Book of Records. Ulanov's acquaintance with the future three-time Olympic champion occurred after a series of failures that befell the figure skater, first in a pair with his sister, and then in singles. Stanislav Zhuk revealed Alexey's talent: he not only invited the athlete to focus on pair skating, but also found him a new partner - 16-year-old Ira Rodnina. According to the coach, the figure skater's level was an order of magnitude higher, so Alexey had to work hard to catch up with her. It took the partners a long time to start a well-coordinated work. Alexey often made elements with a larger amplitude than Irina, which disrupted synchronicity. Stanislav Alekseevich forced the pair to skate to the sound of a metronome, which made it clear at what point the skaters lost their rhythm. It was only when Irina and Alexey began to look like a single entity on the ice that Zhuk began to develop athletes technically. With him, the duo was the first in the world to perform a parallel double axel and a combination of jumps axel - Rittberger - Oiler - double sheepskin coat. And the most difficult supports and non-standard tracks at high speed have become the signature style of the young couple.

An autographed book by Artyom Tarasov An autographed book by Artyom Tarasov On the title page — "Sincerely, Tarasov. 25.11.02». Artyom Tarasov is a Soviet and Russian entrepreneur, considered to be the first Soviet entrepreneur who legally became a millionaire. In 1993, Artyom Tarasov invented the famous lottery "Russian Lotto". The resolution on granting a license to launch the lottery was signed by Yuri Luzhkov. Part of the profit was supposed to go to the budget of Moscow. Tarasov calculated that he would need $2.5 million to implement the lottery: to create a brand, rent a studio, pay for airtime, print tickets, and a distribution service. He received a loan for this amount from Stolichny Bank for a period of one year. Tarasov and his business partner Malik Saidullaev bought the first copies almost completely, spending more than $200 thousand on it. The purchased tickets were distributed by the employees of the Russian Lotto at the entrances to the subway, offering passers-by to turn on the TV at a certain time and play. Gradually, the popularity of the lottery grew. The third edition has already brought 55 thousand tickets sold. A year later, Tarasov returned the $2.5 million borrowed from the bank, he recalled in his book. In the book "Presidential Control" by academician Anatoly Tarasov, in historical retrospect, taking into account foreign experience, the fundamentals of the theory and practice of legal and organizational support not only for presidential, but also for state control in general are considered. Artyom Tarasov himself was nominated as a candidate for president of the Russian Federation in the 1996 elections, but was not registered by the election commission and did not participate in the elections.

Photo with a handwritten address and autograph by ballet dancer and choreographer Mikhail Baryshnikov Photo with a handwritten address and autograph by ballet dancer and choreographer Mikhail Baryshnikov Mikhail Baryshnikov is a Soviet and American ballet dancer, choreographer, actor, collector, photographer, and public figure. Honored Artist of the RSFSR. The "non-returnee" in the USSR, who remained in Canada during a tour in 1974. In exile, Baryshnikov achieved incredible success: he made his debut in New York in the ballet Giselle, and since then has performed many leading roles in classical and modern productions, becoming the premiere and then the head of the American Ballet Theater. Later, he left classical ballet and mastered a new direction – modern. In addition, Baryshnikov starred in several films in Hollywood. Soon after Baryshnikov found himself in New York, he met Joseph Brodsky. From the second meeting, they switched to "you", as the artist said: "He offered to switch to "you", but with one condition: instead of "Misha", he, according to consonance, offered to call me "Mouse". For himself, he chose a name paired with my new nickname – "Joseph the cat". That's what we called each other until the last day of our friendship." This friendship turned out to be long and strong – it lasted for 22 years, until the poet's death. Baryshnikov was the first person to whom Brodsky confided his secrets and read new poems.

Sports magazine "Football and Hockey". Moscow: Moskovskaya Pravda Publishing House, 1963 Sports magazine "Football and Hockey". Moscow: Moskovskaya Pravda Publishing House, 1963 The cult weekly "Football" appeared as a Sunday supplement to the publication "Soviet Sport" – the separation took place only 30 years later. The idea of creating it at the plenum was proposed by the chairman of the USSR Football Federation, Valentin Granatkin – he believed that the press poorly understood Soviet football and needed a separate publication. The first issue of the magazine includes comments by Konstantin Beskov, the Starostin brothers, an article about Pele and other famous football players. In December 1967, when the first international hockey tournament was held in Moscow, "Football" turned into "Football-Hockey", and a portrait of a hockey player appeared on the cover of the 49th issue. In 1967, the weekly was renamed "Football-Hockey". In the editorial column, this action was justified by the increased popularity of this sport, however, the famous unofficial version – Leonid Brezhnev directly influenced the renaming. One of the former editors–in-chief of the magazine, Pyotr Kamenchenko, recalled in his interviews how, as a child, the magazine quickly scattered in kiosks, so it remained difficult to access: "Football" was extremely difficult to get at that time. It cost five kopecks and was sold uncut, so it had to be cut with a comb. They wore special combs. He had a huge circulation: it was said that the real circulation was larger than that of the newspaper Pravda. At the same time, the subscription limit was serious. To subscribe to "Football", you had to have a serious scam or sign up at work through the trade union committee. He disappeared at the kiosk at 8-9 in the morning, was sold on Saturdays"

An autographed postcard of the Soviet Olympic figure skating champion Alexander Gorshkov An autographed postcard of the Soviet Olympic figure skating champion Alexander Gorshkov The postcard was signed in 1995 at the Olympic ball held in the Kremlin. The event was timed to coincide with the end of the XVII Winter Olympic Games, held in Lillehammer (Norway). Alexander Gorshkov is a legendary Soviet figure skater who has Olympic gold and won the World Figure Skating Championships six times. Alexander Gorshkov reached the peak of his career in a pair with Lyudmila Pakhomova, thereby creating one of the most dynamic pairs on the ice of that time. Soviet figure skaters dominated the doubles category in the 1970s. However, when Lyudmila and Alexander tried their hand on ice together for the first time in 1966, few believed that one day this particular couple would be able to become the best of the best. Pakhomova was already the champion of the Soviet Union, while no one knew Gorshkov yet. The skaters have developed their own unique style of skating, calling the idea "Russian style". The unusual way of performing ice dancing combined various elements. It had echoes of the folk, Russian and Soviet styles. The idea was a success. One of their most iconic performances was at the 1976 Olympic Games in Innsbruck, Austria. Gorshkov and Pakhomova rode to the music "Melancholy" by Paul Maria is a program that has become legendary in the world of figure skating. This performance earned them a gold medal and cemented their place in the history of figure skating forever. Alexander said the following about this program: "We were in love with our Olympic dance. I am in love with him to this day. The Olympic free skating program was exciting for us, first of all, because we managed to make a qualitatively new program, creating new steps and supports for it. We managed not only to see, but also to transfer to the ice the original, incomparable movements of "Flamenco", "Heel Dance"."   The legacy of Alexandra Gorshkova and Lyudmila Pakhomova lives not only in the medals and titles they earned, but also in the influence they had on the sport at the time: their dedication, artistry and technical excellence continue to inspire figure skaters to this day. Their performances were a testament to the power of teamwork and the beauty that can be achieved when two people come together to create something beautiful on the ice.
