A set of postcards with 5 autographs of Soviet Olympic ice skating champions: Boris Shilkov, Natalia Petruseva, Sergey Fokichev, Lyudmila Titova, Yuri Mikhailov

The postcards were signed in 1995 at the Olympic ball held in the Kremlin. The event was timed to coincide with the end of the XVII Winter Olympic Games, held in Lillehammer (Norway).

Natalia Petruseva is a Soviet speed skater, multiple world and European champion, Olympic champion in 1980.

Boris Shilkov is a Soviet speed skater, Olympic champion, world champion, multiple USSR champion, world record holder, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1954), Honored Coach of the USSR (1964).

Sergey Fokichev is a Soviet speed skater, Olympic champion in 1984 at a distance of 500 m. Fokichev's achievement is also surprising by the fact that before the Games in Sarajevo in 1984, at the championship of the Union, he finished only third in the five hundred meters, having gone the distance at risk to himself.

Lyudmila Titova is a Soviet speed skater, the champion of the 1968 Winter Olympics in the 500m.

Yuri Mikhailov is a Soviet speed skater, coach, Olympic champion in 1956 in the 1500 meters.

The XVII Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer proved to be very successful both organizationally and athletically. The games touched upon important issues of environmental cleanliness, peaceful coexistence and culture, and the spirit of mutual understanding and goodwill prevailed in Lillehammer. Thanks to this, IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch, at the closing ceremony of the Games, rated this Olympiad as the most successful in the history of the Winter Olympic Games.
