The figure depicts a foot soldier, whose offensive armament is a curved Eastern-style saber with a developed guard. In his left hand, the fighter holds a convex kalkan shield, richly decorated with oriental ornaments, with a metal umbon in the center. On his head, the warrior wears a fur pointed hat, characteristic of the eastern peoples of the period described. The warrior is dressed in a warm robe that reaches to his knees and is edged with mutton fur.  The robe is belted with a wide cloth belt, under which wide trousers are visible, which do not restrict movement, and allow you to quickly jump on a horse. The fighter is shod in high leather boots, typical for a horseman. The armor consists of metal shoulder pads called “crustacean tail". Such shoulder pads are widely represented in the graves of oriental warriors throughout the territory of Ancient Russia. Shoulder pads are attached to the soldier's clothes with the help of criss-crossing straps, to one of which, on the left side, is tied a nomadic hiking bag. The warrior's right forearm is protected by an armband consisting of horizontal plates riveted to each other. The Mongol chess rook is a watchtower with a square base. The building, four tiers high, has an openwork prefabricated structure. The upper level is a plank square shape, with an octagonal three-stage roof supported by four pillars. The first tier of the roof is covered with reeds. The second, a wooden one, has an ornament in the form of an ornament in the oriental style. The third tier of the coating is a wide copper spire. The chess knight "Mongol". The figure shows a Mongolian warrior in armor, riding a horse. The horse is not typical for Mongolian breeds, resembles a thoroughbred Akhal-Teke, and is most likely captured in Khorezm. A horsehair plume is attached to the top of the hat. The rider wears wide trousers on his feet, with high leather boots without heels, oriental type. The harness of the vigilante's horse is distinguished by expediency and rationality. The chess bishop "Mongol". The figure reproduces a heavily armed foot soldier. The protective armament of the fighter's head consists of a spherical, ornate helmet with curly overlays and a horsehair plume. A semicircular bar is attached to the helmet, leaving the warrior's face open, which was very important for maneuverable horse combat. The soldier's neck is protected by a three-row lamellar gorget made of metal plates connected by belts. The protection of the vigilante's body consists of a lamellar shell, with a steel mirror in the form of a stamped circle attached to the front. From the shoulder joint to the elbow, the warrior's arms are covered with large-segmented, curved, lamellar shields. The elbows and wrists are protected by double–leaf one-piece bracers - “boats". From the waist to the knee of the thigh, the warrior is protected by a lamellar inset skirt, from under which trousers are visible, with ornate leather boots. In his right hand, the fighter holds a long spear with a wide tip. With his left hand, the warrior leans on the pommel of the saber, which hangs from his belt. The belt is a wide leather band with a large square buckle. On the right side, on the belt, there is a leather hiking flask. The chess queen "Mongol" is made in the form of the khan's wife. The woman wears a traditional ceremonial headdress on her head — a felt boka decorated with embroidery. On the side of the temples, on both sides, there are strips of fabric trimmed with pearls and expensive sewing. The headdress emphasizes the high status of the ruler. The hair of a noble person is braided, and intertwined with festive, ornate ribbons. The lady is wearing a semi-open robe with gold clasps, which is belted with a wide belt made of expensive fabric. The sleeves of the robe are separately tied elements, richly decorated with pearls and embroidery. The doorways are decorated with gold embroidery and indicate that the woman is not engaged in physical labor. A separate strip of fabric is sewn along the bottom edge of the robe, draped with embroidery and gems. A wide decorative strip of fabric, luxuriously inlaid with precious stones and gold embroidery, descends from the waist to the knees. The "Mongol" chess king. The figure is made in the form of a Tatar khan, sitting on a throne in thought. The carved chair of the ruler is a masterpiece of carpentry art of that time (most likely it is an offering, or a thing captured in battle). The back of the chair is a board with a slotted oriental ornament. The backrest turns into armrests supported by elaborately carved supports that are attached to the surface of the throne seat. The legs are carved wooden balusters, shaped type. The monarch is dressed in very rich military armor, which emphasizes the high military status of the owner. On the khan's head is a pointed helmet of a six-piece type, with an open face and a complex composite barmice. The barmice is a finely scaled element that protects the temples and neck on the sides. The protection of the back of the ruler's head and neck is made of horizontal plates in the form of a “crustacean tail”. The protection of the warrior's body consists of a hinged scaly armor fastened on the chest with gold clasps.  The armor is worn on top of a robe, and is belted with a wide silk belt. The protection of the hands also shows that the ruler is extremely rich and noble. The protection of the shoulder joint is made in the form of tiger heads, from the mouth of which flexible horizontal plates descend, completely covering the monarch's arm up to the wrist. Khan's feet are shod in boots of the oriental type, with upturned noses.
