Nosov". Nikolai Nosov is a Soviet children's writer, author of the famous series of books about the adventures of Dunno. Among his works, there was a place for many other popular books that have become classics of children's literature. Nosov was known for his light and bright writing style, and his stories are still loved by children and adults alike. "The Adventures of Dunno and his Friends" is the first book in Nikolai Nosov's trilogy about the adventures of Dunno, first published in 1953-1954. Nosov's idea of "Dunno" was born under the impression of Anna Khvolson's fairy tale "The Kingdom of the Little Ones", which he read as a child. The name of the main character was also taken from the tale of Khvolson. A separate Russian-language edition of the tale of Dunno was published in 1954 by Detgiz publishing house under the title "The Adventures of Dunno and his Friends" with illustrations by Alexei Laptev. It was Laptev who created the familiar image of Dunno, which other artists began to use after that.

"The worst advice I've been given," King wrote, "is 'Don't listen to the critics.' In my opinion, it is necessary to listen to the opinion of critics: sometimes they point out mistakes that it is not too late to correct. Burying your head in the sand, you deprive yourself of the opportunity to find out someone else's opinion and you may not understand when you need to change something. But if you listen to criticism, you can notice your shortcomings and correct them in time." The book "Dolores Claiborne" was dedicated to his mother, Nellie Ruth Pillsbury-King. Stargift An autographed letter from Ilya Ehrenburg An autographed letter from Ilya Ehrenburg Ilya Grigoryevich Ehrenburg is a Russian writer, poet, publicist, journalist, war correspondent, translator from French and Spanish, public figure, photographer. International Life is a scientific and political magazine, the leading Soviet and now Russian foreign policy monthly publication, published since 1954. It was published by NKID in 1922-1930. In 1954, at the initiative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR V. M. Molotov, the publication was resumed. This letter is Ehrenburg's refusal to be invited to publish in International Life. In the text, the writer explains the reason for his negative response: according to Ehrenburg, his journalism does not correspond to the subject of the magazine. The desire of the editorial board to involve Ehrenburg in the work in the magazine is not accidental: the writer was active in journalism. So during the Great Patriotic War Ehrenburg worked as a war correspondent. His anti-German propaganda articles and writings greatly contributed to the growth of his fame. A significant part of these articles, which were constantly published in the newspapers Pravda, Izvestia, and Krasnaya Zvezda, are combined in the three-volume journalistic "War" (1942-1944). In 1942, Ehrenburg joined the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee and was active in collecting and publishing materials about the Holocaust, which, together with the writer Vasily Grossman, were collected into a "Black Book".

Stargift A handwritten autographed letter. Yevgeny Yevtushenko A handwritten autographed letter. Yevgeny Yevtushenko A handwritten autographed letter. Yevgeny Yevtushenko is a Russian Soviet poet, novelist, director, publicist, actor. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize. The letter is dedicated to the writer and military correspondent Emmanuel Feigin. The text of the letter: "The boundlessness of nobility Emmanuel Feigin was one of the most benevolent people I knew. The benevolence of a writer, it would seem, should not be a rare quality, but alas! - in our professional environment, it is less and less common to see eyes that light up with inspiration from other people's works, and tears from other people's works in the eyes of amazed colleagues are almost a museum phenomenon. Feigin, a man who did not live too gloriously, was able to help other writers not only in their troubles, but also knew how to be happy with someone else's fame, when, of course, she chose those worthy of her, and when people crushed by fame changed, disintegrated, had the tact and courage to say to their face not malicious, but bitterly friendly words. I never considered him a phenomenally talented artist of words, but his phenomenal talent as a writer gradually began to turn into the artistry of creativity. Ethics may not always shift from aesthetics, but it is the key to constantly identifying the best artistic qualities, a guarantee of continuous growth, or at least a guarantee of the impossibility of a professional complete fall. When I read Feigin's The Dog Captain, I was stunned by the unexpected qualitative shift. Morality has even raised style to a new level, pulled out of the dark corners of the soul the unsuspected jewels hidden there, Feigin, who gave so much effort to journalism, freeing himself from the oppression of all kinds of cliches until the end of his days, * "Yegor Grachev's Offense" he overcame the averageness of verbal constructions, guided as by Ariadne's thread by his own innate conscientiousness, because it told him that in literature averageness is dishonesty. It was thanks to his conscientiousness and love for other writers that he himself became a better and better writer, he developed until his death. His voice was doomed to rasping, frightening sounds, even at those moments when he wanted to say the most tender words. It was a terrible ordeal, but Feigin withstood such a test, remaining an example of the nobility of continuous painful improvement. He blessed my first steps in poetry, but only mine! The ignominy shown sometimes even by infinitely talented artists limits their talents and destroys them. Nobility increases the talents of infinitely gifted people, but only if their nobility is unlimited. Yevgeny Yevtushenko"

Stargift A handwritten drawing by N. V. Gogol A handwritten drawing by N. V. Gogol Following the special atmosphere of the time, in which it was inherent to surround himself with creativity and art in all its manifestations, Gogol discovered his field - drawing. Gogol, like Pushkin, created sketches, but the nature and manner of execution of his drawings were very different. Pushkin preferred to depict portraits, vivid emotions, and Gogol to sketch architectural structures, various details and transfer what he saw, like a summary on a piece of paper. One of Gogol's favorite drawing topics was architecture. In his sketches, he tried to convey the features of the structures and the atmosphere characteristic of the time of their construction. So, based on the details in the presented drawing, the poet depicted a part of the Gothic structure, the distinctive feature of which was the angularity and sharpness of the forms. Interestingly, the writer tried to study painting, but all his attempts remained incomplete, although he had a penchant for drawing since childhood. At the Nizhyn gymnasium, Gogol did not succeed much in the exact sciences, but he was fond of theater, literature and drawing. He got himself a handwritten compendium, which he called "A Book of all sorts, or a Handy Encyclopedia." There Gogol brought in a variety of information from books, lessons and just conversations, which for some reason he considered important to remember. Gogol accompanied all this with illustrations, which he enthusiastically copied from books. Gogol tried himself in the design of works, so for the second edition of "Dead Souls" he personally created the title illustration - vignette. It is sometimes repeated in modern publications.   He hardly enlivens his writings with drawings, does not paint portraits of women who attracted him, but one thing is certain - everything that came from the pen of a genius is considered priceless a priori. Everything that his fingers even clumsily and fluently drew cannot but excite: It was painted by Gogol! And the expression "executed by the hand of Gogol" contains incredible magic.

Leningrad, Krasnaya Gazeta, a file of issues for 1928 "Around the World" is the oldest Russian popular science and regional studies magazine, published since 1861. The first editor was Pavel Olkhin, a Russian popularizer of science and technology, a stenographer and translator. "Around the World" appeared in an amazing era when, thanks to outstanding researchers, scientific discoveries were made one after another that changed the world. In such conditions, the appearance of a high-quality popular science periodical looked quite natural. From January 1918 to January 1927 and from July 1941 to December 1945, the magazine was not published. The presented issue of the magazine dates back to 1928, when publication was resumed after a long break. "Around the World" was revived in two cities at once: in Moscow (publishing house "Earth and Factory") and in Leningrad (publishing house "Krasnaya Gazeta"). For a number of reasons, the Moscow version was produced for only about three years, and starting in 1930, the publication received a "residence permit" in Leningrad for a long time. This period in the history of the magazine coincided with the era of active modernization of the country, when large enterprises were being built everywhere, the Stakhanov movement was gaining momentum, the conquest of the Arctic began, and one after another materials about the courage and heroism of the Soviet people were published in the issues of the magazine. In those years, the editorial policy was directed towards revolutionary romance, travel, discovery and local history.

Limited edition. 78 signed book out of 350. Ray Douglas Bradbury is an American writer known for the dystopia "Fahrenheit 451", the cycle of short stories "The Martian Chronicles" and the partially autobiographical novel "Dandelion Wine". The writer became interested in literature at school. He wrote his first works at the age of 12. The first popularity of the author was brought by the "Martian Chronicles", a chain of short stories connected by a common plot, and the novel "Fahrenheit 451", which was published in Playboy magazine, and subsequently filmed. Bradbury has created more than 800 literary works, including several novels and novellas, hundreds of short stories, dozens of plays, a number of articles, notes and poems. His stories have formed the basis for a number of film adaptations, theatrical productions and musical compositions. Bradbury's main achievement is that he managed to arouse readers' interest in the genres of science fiction and fantasy, which before him were on the periphery of modern culture. "I don't think about death, because I will always be here. This box with my films and shelves with my books convince me that I have a hundred or two years left," the writer reasoned about the relationship between time and his work.

Bush, not wanting to spoil his image of the president by appearing on such "strange talk shows", only distanced himself more from the people.
