"I shake your hand tightly and hug you" - the letter ends with these warm words.

In order to at least partially pay for a trip to Athens for the Olympic Games, Ritter got a job as a correspondent for the newspaper "Kyivlyanin" and the magazine "Cyclist" and also became the first Russian sports reporter in the history of the Olympics. He spoke enthusiastically about the Games: "The Olympics opens a new era of international sports competitions, which will eventually become a model of peaceful demonstrations and which our era requires more than ever" - and claimed that the volume of the note was not enough for him and he was ready to write folios about the Olympics.

He won 4 gold medals at the Maccabi Games in Israel. Two years later, at the Pan American Games, he won 5 times in the heats at distances from 100 to 1500 m. And that was just the beginning. At the age of 18, Mark competed in the Olympic Games in Mexico City. Already here he expected to surpass the result of his idol Johnny Weissmuller, who won 5 gold medals at one Games. However, a change of coach and a severe cold prevented it. Mark won "only" two gold medals in the 4x100 and 4x200 m relay, silver in the 100 m butterfly and bronze in the 100-meter freestyle. The real fame came to Spitz at the 1972 Munich Games. Mark has conquered all 7 Olympic distances! Spitz's popularity did not decrease after the 1972 Olympic Games, he returned home not only with gold medals, but also with successful advertising contracts. According to the contract presented as an exhibit with the William Morris agency, Mark Spitz promoted a wide range of products - from swimwear and pool accessories to milk, razors and even hair dryers. Tarasov calculated that he would need $2.5 million to implement the lottery: to create a brand, rent a studio, pay for airtime, print tickets, and a distribution service. He received a loan for this amount from Stolichny Bank for a period of one year. Tarasov and his business partner Malik Saidullaev bought the first copies almost completely, spending more than $200 thousand on it. The purchased tickets were distributed by the employees of the Russian Lotto at the entrances to the subway, offering passers-by to turn on the TV at a certain time and play. Gradually, the popularity of the lottery grew. The third edition has already brought 55 thousand tickets sold.
