"Reflections on ancient medals and engravings, mostly Roman" is the first and legendary edition by Antoine Le Pois, published after the author's death with his portrait and dedication of the author's brother Nicholas to the Duke of Lorraine, whose personal physician was Antoine. The memorial nature of the publication and the high status of the scientist and his family provided virtually unlimited opportunities for the preparation and printing of the book. 48 engravings made on wooden boards were made especially for the publication. In addition to the portrait of Antoine, individual engravings with images of Mercury, Priapus, Pomon and hermaphrodite, the publication included 23 explanatory engravings in the text, and after the text 20 separate sheets with 160 Roman medals, Gnostic emblems, symbols and monograms were given. This work is one of the key ones in the numismatic science of the Renaissance. Copies with engravings from this period are rarely preserved in complete condition. The Stargift collection presents a fully complete copy in an owner's one-piece leather binding of the XVIII century. The edition from this edition was sold at Christie's auction in 2005 for 16,800 euros.

"The Adventures of Dunno and his Friends" is the first book in Nikolai Nosov's trilogy about the adventures of Dunno, first published in 1953-1954. Nosov's idea of "Dunno" was born under the impression of Anna Khvolson's fairy tale "The Kingdom of the Little Ones", which he read as a child. The name of the main character was also taken from the tale of Khvolson. A separate Russian-language edition of the tale of Dunno was published in 1954 by Detgiz publishing house under the title "The Adventures of Dunno and his Friends" with illustrations by Alexei Laptev. It was Laptev who created the familiar image of Dunno, which other artists began to use after that.

The novel was first published in France by the Olympia Press publishing house, which, as Nabokov realized after publication, produced "semi-pornographic" and related literature. A year later, Lolita was banned in France (1956-1958, and the publication was withdrawn from sale and destroyed). Alexander Solzhenitsyn is a Russian writer, playwright, essayist, poet, public and political figure who lived and worked in the USSR, Switzerland, the USA and Russia. The life of Alexander Solzhenitsyn turned out to be connected with almost all the turning events in the history of Russia. He was born in the year of the outbreak of the Civil War, never saw his father who died before his birth, survived collectivization with his mother, during the Great Patriotic War he tried for a long time to be sent to the front and finally left to fight in 1943. In February 1945, he, the commander of an artillery intelligence unit, was arrested right at the headquarters on the front line, sent to Moscow to Lubyanka and soon sentenced to eight years in camps - on charges of espionage and anti-Soviet activities. After being released (and simultaneously managing to recover from cancer), Solzhenitsyn achieved rehabilitation and in the early 60s was even approved by the authorities: with Khrushchev's permission, "One Day of Ivan Denisovich" was published in Novy Mir, which immediately made the writer famous. The idea to write a narrative about camp life arose from the author in the 50th year in the Ekibastuz camp, where he served his prison sentence. It was a cold winter day. Solzhenitsyn and his partner were carrying a heavy stretcher. These endless camp days were so much alike. They passed into weeks, months, and years. Thanks to this, the author came up with the idea to write the story of an ordinary prisoner and put it in one day. Since the second half of the 60s, the work has been banned in the Soviet Union and withdrawn from libraries. And only in 1990 it was published again in the writer's homeland.

In 1993, Artyom Tarasov invented the famous lottery "Russian Lotto". The resolution on granting a license to launch the lottery was signed by Yuri Luzhkov. Part of the profit was supposed to go to the budget of Moscow. Tarasov calculated that he would need $2.5 million to implement the lottery: to create a brand, rent a studio, pay for airtime, print tickets, and a distribution service. He received a loan for this amount from Stolichny Bank for a period of one year. Tarasov and his business partner Malik Saidullaev bought the first copies almost completely, spending more than $200 thousand on it. Luck and rarity is the exact indication of the notebook's ownership. In this case, the owner's entry is made on the pages of the text: "From the books of the Kursk Bogoroditsky Znamensky Monastery of Father Archimandrite Lawrence Kordet." Fragments of various scientific books of astronomical content are woven into the copy, and the owner's records contain information about church laws, state and economic management and are written in different handwriting in Russian, Latin and French. Most of the records were made by Vladyka Lawrence, and after his death, his personal library, along with a notebook, most likely passed to the next abbot, and he continued writing. Archimandrite Lawrence was an outstanding church speaker. Among the papers left after his death were several volumes of handwritten sermons, between them two volumes of words and teachings compiled by students when he was rector of the Kharkov Collegium (proto-seminary). As a very educated man for his time and interested in secular literature, Archimandrite Lawrence took a lively part in the work on compiling a geographical dictionary undertaken by the Free Russian Assembly at the Imperial Moscow University; for his works he was elected a member of the Free Economic Society.
