Для наших часов были использованы фрагменты одного из древнейших метеоритов Муонионалуста, обнаруженного в 1906 году недалеко от границы с Финляндией и названного в честь протекающей в тех местах реки Муони. На поверхности циферблата хорошо видны переплетающиеся полосы – видманштеттеновы линии. Такой узор формируется на протяжении миллионов лет в процессе кристаллизации металла в холоде космического пространства, и его используют при исследовании как важный диагностический признак. По предположениям учёных этот метеорит упал на Землю порядка 1 миллиона лет назад, это значит, что он пережил 4 ледниковых периода, а его предположительный возраст составляет более 4,5 миллиардов лет.   Также в коллекцию вошли часы с использованием фрагментов редкого Сеймчанского метеорита, найденного в высохшем русле реки Хекандя, левого притока реки Ясачная в Магаданской области, недалеко от поселка Сеймчан, в июне 1967 года. Сеймчан - палласитовый метеорит, является осколком одной из древних протопланет, возникавших и разрушавшихся на заре формирования Солнечной системы. Он образовался 4,5 – 4 млрд лет назад, раньше, чем на нашей планете зародилась жизнь. Автограф Владимира Комарова на страницах альбома датирован 17 марта 1965 года — за два года до трагической гибели космонавта при испытании «Союза-1».
