Silver brooch "Clover" from the collection "Herbarium of Tatyana Polyakova" Silver brooch "Clover" from the collection "Herbarium of Tatyana Polyakova" Since those distant years, vigorously traveling and living in different parts of the world, spinning the globe in the hope of finding, like Nabokov, my daisies and Rachmaninov, my lilacs, I have been looking for jewelers who could bring my dreams and childhood discoveries to life in precious metal. And so in the fall of 2019, at an etiquette brunch in my favorite St. Petersburg Astoria, which I arranged for clients, an elegant lady, the mother of two brothers, regulars of my course, presented me with a silver spoon of "Russian gems" with lilac flowers. My eyes flashed! And in my life, my full namesake Tatyana Polyakova, the artist of "Russian Gems", who painted my herbarium from memory, also appeared. I also checked the slope of the stems, and the shades, and the proportions according to those Tver happy childhood memories. And, as it turned out, the best, free, beautiful, fragrant and precious memories of a lifetime. In the summer of 2020, my mother left, who accustomed me to potted non-wilting flowers that were transplanted into gardens and lawns. Shortly before her death, symbolically, my first jewelry herbarium of 25 plants saw the light. "My emotion from clover is not about luck, wealth, fame, but about the taste of sweet nectar from tubular petals, which we all tasted in childhood. I prick my clover-porridge or clover-cat and wear it in a bouquet with a daisy and a bell. And always with field grass." For more than a hundred years, Russian Gems has been preserving the technologies of the famous St. Petersburg jewelry school and developing innovative methods for making precious masterpieces. Craftsmen create luxurious jewelry, silverware, enamel-filigree products and interior items that distinguish the originality of the author's ideas and an unsurpassed level of performance. The Imperial Jewelry House has repeatedly won prestigious awards from leading industry experts, which confirms the quality and high artistic value of the products.

Shortly before her death, symbolically, my first jewelry herbarium of 25 plants saw the light. "I've never read fortune-telling on wild daisies. But I believed in the belief that a daisy grew where a star fell. Daisies are starry flowers for me. A distinctive sign. I remember my first wreath. This was the crown of childhood. Even now, I determine the onset of summer by the proud, unraveled inflorescences, waiting for the opportunity to stop in the field and touch a delicate petal. I pin a daisy brooch on the silk lapel of my tuxedo. As a sign of the significance of the moment. Not a live gardenia, but my St. Petersburg chamomile. And the topic of conversation appears immediately. I decorate my white men's shirts with chamomile. Men can't afford it, can they? Or is this a hint?" I didn't believe in the legend of the blooming fern. I wasn't looking for him. I was looking for an artist who can draw my emotions, and a jeweler who will filigreely repeat the drawing and color my favorite sheet with layers of enamel. "For a long time we painted and decorated our mimosa from the acacia family, a flower recognized by the French as the queen of all growing flowers, a symbol of celebration, tenderness, emotion and sensuality. The first fluffy flowers in the December rays of the southern sun, mimosa festivals on the Riviera, Capri and Monaco, a bouquet of mimosa in Paris and in childhood in Leningrad. I remember my first acquaintance forever. I do not believe in the legend that mimosa is able to reveal the cunning of a lady by lowering and squeezing the leaves. On the contrary, mimosa is about the sun and happiness. The brooch branch turned out to be voluminous. And very self-sufficient. I often hang it on scarves and even on curtains. I connect it with yellow and white daffodils." "Always, from childhood to now, I condemn everyone who plucks forest lilies of the valley – my favorite fragrant symbol of purity and tenderness. For me, lily of the valley flowers are as beautiful as my favorite pearls, and even more so are pearls with emerald, diamond splashes. I tried to replace a living flower from forests and modest, and even abandoned gardens with the aromas of the great Dior. And I've always secretly dreamed of creating an inflorescence, a twig that won't wither. That's how my collection started. In my childhood herbarium, the lily of the valley was fading. The beauty could not be prolonged. In a bouquet of lily-of-the-valley brooches on my chest, every immortalized delicate flower is with me. And I am happy to share this tender and touching beauty."   Silver brooch "Cup" of the collection "Herbarium of Tatyana Polyakova" Silver brooch "Cup" of the collection "Herbarium of Tatyana Polyakova" Since those distant years, vigorously traveling and living in different parts of the world, spinning the globe in the hope of finding, like Nabokov, my daisies and Rachmaninov, my lilacs, I have been looking for jewelers who could bring my dreams and childhood discoveries to life in precious metal. "I always freeze when I see these bright yellow flowers on the palms of green, almost leathery leaves. Thoughts, or rather, muscles and body remember these rapid movements of stopping the bike, instantly dropping the dress and diving into the native river of childhood. The purpose of the first swim was to swim to the delicate hidden inflorescence, pull the stem and carefully remove the trunk from the depth – the longer, the more spectacular – beads were obtained from the trunk divided by children's fingers into a chain of centimeter–long small links. The hands repeat this movement even now. I got a cup from a boat in a backwater in Kizhi a few years ago. The fingers recognized the trophies... Tears blurred my eyes... The fragrance of your favorite plant has not been repeated by any perfumer. For more than a hundred years, Russian Gems has been preserving the technologies of the famous St. Petersburg jewelry school and developing innovative methods for making precious masterpieces. "Bright, yellow, obedient rosettes on a stem with delicate leaves swaying in time with the wind were a symbol of the beginning of the holidays. I was leaning out of the open window of a local train in the run-up to the station. And yes, she was impatiently counting down the seconds, counting her favorite bells... The fact that, according to legend, a sleeping elf could be found inside the inflorescence, I learned much later, talking with a neighbor in a chair on the Swiss express. As an adult, I was already counting down the seconds to the beat, because my grandfather and the horse are no longer waiting for me at the station... and the folk names of the flower are kupava kupalnitsa, kupavka, zharki, ogonki, Siberian rose, avtdoki, bells, marsh beaters, marsh hats.... I will wear them in several colors, in a collapsed bouquet. "Always, from childhood to now, I condemn everyone who plucks forest lilies of the valley – my favorite fragrant symbol of purity and tenderness. And I am happy to share this tender and touching beauty." In my childhood, we called them pipes and bit into the soft trunk. Such a field, natural snack. And fresh breath. We didn't know any artichokes or asparagus back then. They blew into the dried pipes. And, probably, they were spitting seeds through the tubes, having fun. The spicy aroma and proud shape of umbrellas of white-yellowish and white-green shades in a tall vase or a wing decorated the center of the table in the living room of the hut. And, remembering my familiar notes, I always pamper trusted florists now, always inserting them into compositions all year round. I wear a pipe brooch along with several lilies of the valley. The mother-of-pearl shade of the enamel of the inflorescences is combined with my favorite pearls. In different shades of different lengths. It begins with luxurious fragrant white or pink silk inflorescences. And the berries of your favorite red-orange shade decorate August. And decorate, competing with birches and maples, autumn. I believed that it was the thorns that protected the beauty of this self-confident but defenseless plant. I was lying. There were no rosehip berries in my children's herbarium. There were only flowers and buds. I collected the fruits in a basket made of willow vines along the wild beaches of the Gulf of Finland, returning to Estonia from vacation from the Venetian places. When I stay on the farm, the first thing I will do is plant an unpretentious, devoted and healing rosehip. After all, the rosehip branch was also in the crown of thorns of Jesus. I like to wake up early. Before me, I know, the rosehip flowers wake up and open. Always between 04:00 and 04:30 in the morning. In 925 sterling silver and enamel, they don't even close. The jewelers and I have extended the time. And they magically combined summer and autumn into brooches." I was probably busy sticking petals on my nails. My cousin and I used to play with dolls with mandatory manicures. The most important thing is ECO. From the material of the forest geranium of the protected and most picturesque places. The most beautiful, like everything that happens and happens in childhood. I remembered the manicure tradition at a rest stop in the mountains of Iran. The frame flew all over the Internet. In St. Petersburg, I spent a long time drawing a thin twig for my "Herbarium". Rowan is both a poetic symbol and a talisman, a symbol of fertility and well–being. Rowan trees in Russia were always planted next to a hut or house. And under the windows of the newlyweds, and along the perimeter of the land, berries were laid out between the window frames. In childhood, we were forbidden to chop, pluck, and tear off branches and berries. The trunk of the rowan tree was used only for the staffs of priests and wanderers going on a long journey. It all fits together: my whole life is a journey. And we did not pluck the rowan tree, but painted it, turning it into a piece of jewelry. In memory of home, childhood and all the wanderings of life. And, as it turned out, the best, free, beautiful, fragrant and precious memories of a lifetime. In the summer of 2020, my mother left, who taught me to potted non-wilting flowers that were transplanted into gardens and lawns. Shortly before her death, symbolically, my first jewelry herbarium of 25 plants saw the light. With these modest natural compositions found in the copses of forest violets, my unconditional love for cultivated velvety and brazenly beautiful pansies began. I did not know the legend of the unrequited love of the gentle Anyuta at that time. Children's legends of feelings and experiences are different for everyone. But my love for violets – quiet, faithful and constant, like everything childish, remained. Feelings, like beauty, must be seen. Nature has suggested this to us, combining contrasting shades in inflorescences with bright greens of leaves and stems, attracting emotional brightness. Nature itself has formed a bouquet. The jewelers and I repeated the attacks of the flowers, the bends of the leaves protecting and supporting the flowers, and their spread. The delicate, elegant violet is the hero of the secular, spiritual, and ceremonial life of many cultures since the time of the ancient Romans and Greeks. Bouquets of violets were pinned into hair, hats, corsets and dresses were decorated with them, then they were painted on the labels of crystal bottles and perfumes. I add candied violet petals to champagne and sometimes to tea. There is a confirmation of this devotion of mine: the violets embedded in the books from the summer literary programs are with me now. I still react the same way to all violet themes. Images and words are loved by my close friend, born in Russian Voronezh, in beautiful Milan. Among the first, this bouquet created by St. Petersburg jewelers and enamellers will be delivered by the postman to her. As a sign of love devoted to native addresses and names. And that's why I'm going to pin silver violets and wear them solo. On lace, on silk, on rough hand knitting, yes! On the brims of hats, on the knots of bows and on the lapels of business suits. Brooches, like flowers, are signs and symbols of distinction. And the endless pleasure that came from beauty. Do flying seeds speak about the transience of life? By no means, the jewelers and I have extended the life of the legend, immortalized in silver the life of dandelion wreaths floating on the river or removed from the head. We share with you the ideas of a sheaf of ears, ears in a bouquet of chamomile, cornflower, timofeevka, bells and a self-sufficient single ear on the lapel of an evening or summer velvet or silk suit. The ear itself is a jeweler's beauty symbol of life, affection and kindness. On a Lavish evening – and not only – it is worth remembering the ears in the corners of the living rooms of the private chambers and boutiques of the great Gabrielle Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent – they sow seeds for wealth. The ears are the most ceremonial images, woven, interwoven and always distinguished by shades of maturity. In my childhood, the golden waves of wheat fields far from the city house replaced the waves of my native sea. My favorite summer fun was to dive into the field and go out with a bouquet of cornflowers from the brazen beauty of the ears. The joys have been restored. In silver and enamel! We decorated the silver ears with filigree. And we even gilded a couple of sheaves!"   Silver brooch "Ivan da Marya" from the collection "Herbarium of Tatyana Polyakova" Silver brooch "Ivan da Marya" from the collection "Herbarium of Tatyana Polyakova" Since those distant years, vigorously traveling and living in different parts of the world, spinning the globe in the hope of finding, like Nabokov, my daisies and Rachmaninov, my lilacs, I have been looking for jewelers who could bring my dreams and childhood discoveries to life in precious metal. "Mariannik, Petrovskaya grass, brother-with-sister, and for me Ivan da Marya is my decorative Russian yin and yang, a plant with yellow flowers and neat blue leaves. A birch grove in the light and these gentle lanterns in the forest glades. This plant was difficult to dry and already arrived home from the forest in a basket on top of berries and mushrooms withered. And that's why I included Ivan da Marya in my herbarium. As a sign that the beauty of the plant can be preserved in Russian silver and enamel. These brooches are painted with special love: after all, Ivan da Marya is a symbol of Kupala weddings and a symbol of name days for Mari and Ivanov. And it's a pity that Tatiana doesn't have such a symbol." For more than a hundred years, Russian Gems has been preserving the technologies of the famous St. Petersburg jewelry school and developing innovative methods for making precious masterpieces. Craftsmen create luxurious jewelry, silverware, enamel-filigree products and interior items that distinguish the originality of the author's ideas and an unsurpassed level of performance. And we even gilded a couple of sheaves!" In the summer of 2020, my mother left, who accustomed me to potted non-wilting flowers that were transplanted into gardens and lawns. Shortly before her death, symbolically, my first jewelry herbarium of 25 plants saw the light. Black alder is the elder foreign sister of the white birch. I see these curly crowns around the world much more often and always unexpectedly. The name "alder" reminds me of a Varangian or Scandinavian female name. For me, alder was and remains a symbol of the beginning of spring. The thawed areas of the spring school holidays in March were decorated with the first blooming chocolate branches of alder, dropping pollen on the tablecloth. I remember branches clutched in wet mittens. And I'm happy to go home. Into the warmth. The first installations and experiments darkened from white, through orange and then into a brown-chocolate color of wood. These modest bouquets of my childhood consisted of spreading twigs with heavy earrings and cones supporting delicate primroses, anemones or fragrant daffodils of brazen beauty. Snow-covered with ice, wintry at first glance, a symbol-a wish and a sign of the coming spring. We wear brooches in a bouquet. We decorate the silver alder with willow, primroses, white and yellow daffodils from my herbarium. We attach it to the left shoulder or lapel. According to the season. And at the call of my heart. Shortly before her death, symbolically, my first jewelry herbarium of 25 plants saw the light. Snowy white galanthus from the Amaryllis family, "snow earring", "drop", "snow bell" – this bold and delicate flower in most cultures is considered a symbol of protection, perseverance, hope and rebirth to a new life. It was traditionally planted at the entrance to the house, in urban apartments it was grown on window sills as a talisman. Fearless and fragile, it opens up again, even covered in ice. The snowdrop is listed in the "Red Book", and our silver symbol of life will never wither. I will wear my snowdrops in a bouquet with a branch of black alder with earrings and, of course, with a willow. Shortly before her death, symbolically, my first jewelry herbarium of 25 plants saw the light. There were no tulips in my summer fields, meadows and herbariums of childhood. But the real historical colorful two-colored tulips caught up with me in my Leningrad. And then in St. Petersburg. Of the most striking shocks: tulips on collectible porcelain, engraved on glass, in watercolors and, of course, in the collection of the Elaginsky Palace and the park ensemble by Carl Rossi.   My daily tulip mania was embodied in 2022 in 925 sterling silver. Red tulips are known to be a symbol of love. They can replace a heartfelt confession. Yellow is about tenderness. The brooches "Palace Tulip" - yellow with a red flame and "Elaginsky tulip" - red with yellow feathers - I wear in a pair, next to a sprawling bouquet, and the brooch "Elagin" - a miniature red flower - on the lapel. Our gentle declarations of love with the jewelers are dedicated to the Elaginoostrovsky Palace and its devoted keepers. Shortly before her death, symbolically, my first jewelry herbarium of 25 plants saw the light. It was with cypripedium in the grass in the copse of childhood that my acquaintance with orchids began. I still had to find out and believe that there are 20-35 thousand species of orchids in the world. And I involuntarily continue to compare Asian and American orchids with the "boots of the Virgin", with my favorite shoes, kukushkin's or Mary's.  And the fact that, according to legend, Venus hid from her pursuers in the northern forests is especially pleasant to me. I prefer the summer north to the south, too. I admit, this bright flower does not remind me of shoes. I see butterfly wings. The first herbaceous orchid in my herbarium is both a tribute and another gesture in favor of nature conservation.  This flower is listed not only in the Red Books of all European countries, but also in the international Book of Nature Conservation. Graceful plants live up to 100 years. And may our silver blossoms preserve the lives of unique creatures.   For more than a hundred years, Russian Gems has been preserving the technologies of the famous St. Petersburg jewelry school and developing innovative methods for making precious masterpieces. Nature has instructed the water lily to move after the sun. I've never been late. The ritual of passing by the pond with these living inflorescences lying on heart-shaped leaves is one of the most beautiful memories of summer village life. And isn't that where my punctuality comes from? A symbol of beauty and eloquence, a talisman against adversity and obstacles during travel - I just need such a brooch. Thanks to the skill of jewelers, this summer I will decorate my tunic with a mother-of-pearl-white flower and put it on a ribbon on my head. Or a hat? After all, brooches are insignia.
