Alexander Fomin

Fomin Alexander Viktorovich is a Moscow impressionist artist whose works captivate with light, color and subtle transmission of moods. His journey into painting began in an unusual way: he picked up his first brush at the age of 22, inspired by watching the work of his older brother. It was in this setting — among paints, canvases and art — that the understanding was born that painting could become his life's work.
Impressionism became for Alexander not just an artistic trend, but a way to feel and convey the world. His works include the breath of nature, the play of light, fleeting emotions and the poetics of everyday life. Urban landscapes occupy a special place in his work: retrospective views of Paris, old Moscow and German cities. These are not just architectural scenes, but lively, sensual images filled with history and personal associations.
In 1992, Fomin was invited to an exhibition in West Germany, a significant event that gave rise to professional recognition. Today, his paintings are in private collections and museums, including collections in Emmerich (Germany) and in the historic estate of the Leontiev noblemen, descendants of Generalissimo Suvorov.
Alexander Fomin's painting is the art of moments. His paintings speak of beauty that we often do not notice: in a ray of sunlight on an old pavement, in the color of the sky before the rain, in the silhouettes of streets that hold memories.
