Here is an author's oil painting — "The Ascension of Jesus Christ", embodied on canvas by the hand of a modern master. The painting is painted in an impressionistic manner, with a filigree sense of light, volume and movement, and is enclosed in an elegant ivory frame with an inner golden border. In the center of the composition is the figure of Christ, surrounded by flowing clouds and the radiance of unearthly light pouring from heaven. The light streams, gently scattering across the sky, seem to fill the canvas with inner breathing. Snow-white robes with an ochre-red veil add nobility, peace and grandeur to the image. The finest brushstrokes on the background create the effect of a light watercolor haze, where shades of lavender, pink and sky blue merge, forming a mystical atmosphere of divine presence. This plot represents a moment of spiritual transformation, a departure to the sky, where the earthly recedes and the heavenly opens to the viewer.
Alexander Viktorovich Fomin, a gallery owner and artist, deeply appreciates impressionism and demonstrates his love for this style in stunning paintings. His works reflect the essence of light and color in nature, as well as the emotions and beauty of everyday moments.
The artist was born in Moscow. Alexander Fomin took his first lessons from his older brother. The novice painter was 22 years old when he first picked up a brush. Revolving in a circle of artists and selling paintings by his older brother, Alexander takes up the brush, watching as canvases are born. He studied literally "over his shoulder", closely following his brother's work.
Feeling that he can embody his impressions and ideas on canvas, Alexander makes the first strokes. Hard work and diligence paid off: in 1992, he was invited to an exhibition in West Germany. This was an important event and an incentive to choose the profession of an impressionist painter.
The artist's favorite themes are urban landscapes, retrospectives of old streets of Paris, Moscow and German cities. Today, Alexander's works are in private collections and museums, including in the city of Emmerich (West Germany), as well as in the estate of the Leontiev noblemen (descendants of Generalissimo Suvorov) and other top officials of countries and states.
The work is intended for discerning connoisseurs of sacred art who seek to surround themselves with objects filled with meaning and energy. This painting will decorate an office, a hall or a private chapel of a person for whom faith is not just a part of life, but its core. There is no ostentatious religiosity in it — only light, silence and grandeur, addressed to those who can see more than the eye can grasp.
