The author's oil painting "Poppies" is a hymn to summer, written in the language of light, color and the breath of fields. The landscape, woven from the gold of ripening wheat and scarlet streaks of wildflowers, framed by a thick, as if embossed frame, appears not just as a spectacle of nature, but as a mood conveyed with impeccable pictorial intuition. On the horizon, through the transparent veil of the sun's heat, the outlines of the temple towers are discernible — like a memory of the eternal, dissolved in the vagueness of the day. The picturesque surface literally pulsates: the textured pasty brushstrokes create the effect of air movement, the rustle of grasses, the dance of petals in gusts of light wind. The color palette is built in a subtle play of yellow, ochre, scarlet and whitish shades, as if the canvas itself exudes warmth. This work does not require interpretation — it acts directly, awakening in the viewer a sense of peace, abundance and quiet gratitude for a moment raised above time.
Alexander Viktorovich Fomin, a gallery owner and artist, deeply appreciates impressionism and demonstrates his love for this style in stunning paintings. His works reflect the essence of light and color in nature, as well as the emotions and beauty of everyday moments.
The artist was born in Moscow. Alexander Fomin took his first lessons from his older brother. The novice painter was 22 years old when he first picked up a brush. Revolving in a circle of artists and selling paintings by his older brother, Alexander takes up the brush, watching as canvases are born. He studied literally "over his shoulder", closely following his brother's work.
Feeling that he can embody his impressions and ideas on canvas, Alexander makes the first strokes. Hard work and diligence paid off: in 1992, he was invited to an exhibition in West Germany. This was an important event and an incentive to choose the profession of an impressionist painter.
The artist's favorite themes are urban landscapes, retrospectives of old streets of Paris, Moscow and German cities. Today, Alexander's works are in private collections and museums, including in the city of Emmerich (West Germany), as well as in the estate of the Leontiev noblemen (descendants of Generalissimo Suvorov) and other top officials of countries and states.
The painting is intended for those who do not just surround themselves with objects of art, but look for a state in them that corresponds to the depth of their own soul. It is designed for interiors where silence is more expensive than noise, and color is a continuation of inner harmony. For a person who knows how to feel space, like music, and fill the house not with things, but with meaning.
