The author's oil painting "The Universe" is a cosmogony embodied in painting, where matter and spirit whirl in a dance of color, light and symbols. The canvas is imbued with philosophy: the palette has been transformed into a dial, time and inspiration intertwine, giving birth to worlds. Images of koi carp are dissolved in the water element, bearing the burden of myths about eternal life, luck and the power of overcoming. Energy pulsates with a golden texture among the fractures of light and waves — the curls of the shape resemble a crown, fractal or vortex, collecting fragments of luxury, stardust, crystals and ornaments. The earth, surrounded by creative chaos, seems to be a point of reference. There is an allusion in every detail: geometric bodies as emblems of order, shining balls as diamonds of the universe, born from the darkness of creation. The color scheme is saturated with noble blues, ultramarine and gold shades, creating depth and multidimensionality of space.
Alexander Viktorovich Fomin, a gallery owner and artist, deeply appreciates impressionism and demonstrates his love for this style in stunning paintings. His works reflect the essence of light and color in nature, as well as the emotions and beauty of everyday moments.
The artist was born in Moscow. Alexander Fomin took his first lessons from his older brother. The novice painter was 22 years old when he first picked up a brush. Revolving in a circle of artists and selling paintings by his older brother, Alexander takes up the brush, watching as canvases are born. He studied literally "over his shoulder", closely following his brother's work.
Feeling that he can embody his impressions and ideas on canvas, Alexander makes the first strokes. Hard work and diligence paid off: in 1992, he was invited to an exhibition in West Germany. This was an important event and an incentive to choose the profession of an impressionist painter.
The artist's favorite themes are urban landscapes, retrospectives of old streets of Paris, Moscow and German cities. Today, Alexander's works are in private collections and museums, including in the city of Emmerich (West Germany), as well as in the estate of the Leontiev noblemen (descendants of Generalissimo Suvorov) and other top officials of countries and states.
The painting "Universe" is intended for a subtle, intellectual collector who possesses not only refined taste, but also a philosophical mindset. It will fit seamlessly into a space where an idea reigns supreme, whether it's a thinker's office, an art gallery in a private home, or a private salon. The canvas will not just be an ornament, but a visual center of reflection on the meaning of life, chaos and order, time and the moment.
