The author's oil painting "River in the Forest" is a tribute to the Russian landscape, immersing the viewer in pristine silence, where every brushstroke preserves the breath of nature. The light path, curving along a quiet forest stream, is painted with exquisite precision. The rays of the sun, breaking through the tall pines and birches, lay a golden haze on the clearing, dissolving the line between painting and memory. The clear water reflects the heavenly light and the fragile stems of meadow grasses leaning towards the edge of the shore. The soft palette of green, ochre and amber shades allows you to feel the breath of the forest, its moist freshness, the elastic crunch of moss underfoot and the trills of unknown birds in the crowns. The untreated logs thrown over the stream seem to refer to childhood, to a time when the whole world seemed to be hidden in a wild forest and discovery was waiting for every turn. The composition is designed so that the viewer does not just observe the landscape, but dissolves into it — as if he walked along this path more than once in his life.
Alexander Viktorovich Fomin, a gallery owner and artist, deeply appreciates impressionism and demonstrates his love for this style in stunning paintings. His works reflect the essence of light and color in nature, as well as the emotions and beauty of everyday moments.
The artist was born in Moscow. Alexander Fomin took his first lessons from his older brother. The novice painter was 22 years old when he first picked up a brush. Revolving in a circle of artists and selling paintings by his older brother, Alexander takes up the brush, watching as canvases are born. He studied literally "over his shoulder", closely following his brother's work.
Feeling that he can embody his impressions and ideas on canvas, Alexander makes the first strokes. Hard work and diligence paid off: in 1992, he was invited to an exhibition in West Germany. This was an important event and an incentive to choose the profession of an impressionist painter.
The artist's favorite themes are urban landscapes, retrospectives of old streets of Paris, Moscow and German cities. Today, Alexander's works are in private collections and museums, including in the city of Emmerich (West Germany), as well as in the estate of the Leontiev noblemen (descendants of Generalissimo Suvorov) and other top officials of countries and states.
This painting is intended for those who seek to fill space with their breath, those who appreciate moments of silence, the elusive movement of time and the delicate balance between natural power and personal harmony. It will fit seamlessly into the refined interior of a country residence, private library or study, emphasizing the refined taste of the owner and his desire for peace and contemplation.
