The author's painting "Seascape" is a triumph of light, captured in the living movement of water and sky. The moment, caught at the junction of the seething elements and the silent sunset, is melted into thick oil strokes, shimmering with copper, amber and ultramarine. The canvas conveys an eternal dialogue between the wind and the waves, between the silence of the horizon and the unstoppable energy of the bursts. A sailboat appears on the crest of light and foam — a symbol of aspiration, will and a single path through the many-faceted colors of fate. The master used a complex texture and a multi-layered technique of applying color, achieving a volume in which each wave seems to breathe. An elegant handmade baguette frame decorated with deep gilding and ornate ornaments completes the look, emphasizing the monumentality of the marine scene.
Alexander Viktorovich Fomin, a gallery owner and artist, deeply appreciates impressionism and demonstrates his love for this style in stunning paintings. His works reflect the essence of light and color in nature, as well as the emotions and beauty of everyday moments.
The artist was born in Moscow. Alexander Fomin took his first lessons from his older brother. The novice painter was 22 years old when he first picked up a brush. Revolving in a circle of artists and selling paintings by his older brother, Alexander takes up the brush, watching as canvases are born. He studied literally "over his shoulder", closely following his brother's work.
Feeling that he can embody his impressions and ideas on canvas, Alexander makes the first strokes. Hard work and diligence paid off: in 1992, he was invited to an exhibition in West Germany. This was an important event and an incentive to choose the profession of an impressionist painter.
The artist's favorite themes are urban landscapes, retrospectives of old streets of Paris, Moscow and German cities. Today, Alexander's works are in private collections and museums, including in the city of Emmerich (West Germany), as well as in the estate of the Leontiev noblemen (descendants of Generalissimo Suvorov) and other top officials of countries and states.
This painting is addressed to collectors who are keenly aware of the poetics of the moment, looking for not just a work of art, but a resonance — intellectual, visual, internal. People who have the power of taste and inner freedom, who are able to stop the passage of time before a picturesque sunrise at their booth.
