Komozja Family
Everyone in the family, since Soviet times, has probably preserved Christmas tree toys from the Polish factory Komozja. Toys that you remember from childhood. Toys that have a special, New Year's magic.
The history of the Komozja Family global brand began in Czestochowo after the end of World War II. Glassblower Henry Kozak, his friend Vladislav Mostovsky and his wife Kazimira Ziyavina, founded the Ko-Mo-Ziya company in the spring of 1945, taking the first syllables of their surnames for its name.
At first, the glassblowing factory produced glass mouthpieces, laboratory and tableware, vials for medicines and Christmas decorations. However, Communists came to power in Poland, who nationalized the Komozja Family business in 1949. But the young and enthusiastic glassblowers were not intimidated by this, having gathered the last forces and means, and within a few weeks they organized another enterprise, calling it "Record". In 1952, the Record plant was also nationalized by the government. The Mostowski family could not imagine their life without glassblowing and continued to work in this field, but already as employees in a cooperative owned by the Polish state. It was only in 1980 that Alexander and Robert Mostowski were able to get permission to open a company once founded by their parents, and convinced their wives and sisters to join them.
In 1981, the Komozja Family company got a second life and began making handmade glass Christmas tree toys. The turning point came in 1994, when the first Komozja Family toy collection was sold in New York. Since then, the brand has gained worldwide popularity as a manufacturer of magnificent Christmas, decorative and New Year decorations.
Undoubtedly, the products of this company are primarily the story of a family of master glassblowers who have been accurately guessing the spirit of the times for more than half a century, honoring the customs and preserving the traditions of the founders. But these are not just Christmas tree toys that are given for the New Year. They have turned into luxurious souvenirs that you want to collect and pass on by inheritance!
