Melchior Neumayr's "History of the Earth" in 2 volumes is an encyclopedic publication of the early 20th century.
The two-volume book was printed in the printing house of the Enlightenment Association in St. Petersburg. The edition includes original bindings, gold-embossed leather spines, leather corners, and three-sided patterned edges. This is the fifth edition from the stereotype, with additions on the geology of Russia and a bibliographic index by V.V. Lamansky and A.P. Nechaev, edited by Honored Professor of the Imperial St. Petersburg University A.A. Inostrantsev. The edition contains 1,131 drawings, 4 color maps, 22 chromolithographs, and 12 "woodcut paintings."
