Karl Eckartshausen (1752-1803) was a German mystical philosopher, whose works were popular in aristocratic circles of Russia at the beginning of the XIX century. The Politics of the Wise is a book for everyone who values the title of an honest, noble and cultured person. This rare edition is a kind of etiquette manual, a code of noble behavior.
The modern edition is based on the edition of 1805, made in the printing house of Christopher Claudia.
