Christofle is one of the most famous French houses working with silverware, serving items and decorative items for the home. Founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christophe, the brand has been preserving the traditions of French craftsmanship for almost two centuries, combining historical heritage, precision of execution and a modern look at design.
An important page in the history of the house was in 1842, when Charles Christophle acquired patents for silvering and gilding by electrolysis.
The innovative approach made it possible to significantly expand the possibilities of working with precious metals and largely determined the further development of the brand. Over time, the name Christofle became associated with the French culture of serving, attention to detail and a high level of execution.
Christofle cutlery occupies a special place in the collections. Forks, spoons, knives, and serving items are distinguished by precise proportions, thoughtful ergonomics, and distinctive decorative plastics. Many collections were created as independent design concepts and eventually became a recognizable part of the house's history. Among the most famous lines are Malmaison, Marly, Perles, Albi, Jardin d'Eden, Vertigo and MOOD. Some collections turn to classic French ornaments, while others are based on laconic modern geometry. Thanks to this, Christofle products look organically both in a traditional interior and in a modern space.
The brand's range is not limited to cutlery. Christofle creates serving items, trays, dishes, wine and bar accessories, candlesticks, vases, photo frames, and decorative items. Each object is considered as a part of the general culture of the house — the very French art de vivre, where not only functionality but also atmosphere are important. French Christofle silver is especially appreciated for its restrained expressiveness. There is no excessive decorativeness for the sake of decorativeness: form, ornament and material work together, creating a sense of thoughtfulness and nobility.
Christofle products are suitable for significant gifts — for a wedding, anniversary, housewarming, anniversary or an important business date. Cutlery, serving items, and interior accessories can become part of a family collection and eventually pass from generation to generation.
Our collection features Christofle products for those who appreciate French craftsmanship, expressive design and objects designed for a long life in the interior. These are gifts that do not require unnecessary explanations: the origin, the material and the quality of the workmanship speak for themselves.
