For the first time, the story The Wind in the Willows, which brought its author, the British writer Kenneth Graham, world fame, was published in 1908. It has been reprinted several times, formed the basis of many films and television series, and many English and American artists have worked on illustrations for it over the years.
In this edition, the text of the story is given in translation by Irina Petrovna Tokmakova; it was completed in 1988.
