A photo with a handwritten wish and an autograph
"To dear Andrey Gerasimovich, sincerely Gagarin 04/14/61."
The recipient of the autograph, Andrei Gerasimovich Rytov (1907-1967), was a Soviet military, statesman and politician, Colonel-General of aviation. In 1953-1967, he was the head of the Political Department and a member of the Military Council of the Air Force.
On April 14, Gagarin flew to Moscow. A rally was held on Red Square, at which Nikita Khrushchev announced the awarding of the titles Hero of the Soviet Union and "Pilot-Cosmonaut of the USSR" to Gagarin. The celebrations continued at a reception in the Kremlin, where Leonid Brezhnev presented Gagarin with the Golden Star of the Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order of Lenin.
