The leather-bound book "Wild Swans and other fairy tales" by G. H. Andersen
The leather-bound book "Wild Swans and other fairy tales" by G. H. Andersen
The circulation is 100 numbered copies. In 1890, the Danish publisher E. Boyesen began a large—scale work - the publication of Andersen's fairy tales with new illustrations by Hans Tegner simultaneously in five languages, including Russian. The artist executed 42 large engravings and 189 drawings for this edition. It was recognized all over the world that in the person of Tegner, the famous Danish storyteller for the first time found an equal in talent and imagination of an illustrator. The magnificent book of Andersen's fairy tales with illustrations by G. Tegner, published by A.F. Devrien in 1899, has long been a rarity — it is very difficult to find a copy in perfect preservation. In an effort to present this truly invaluable material in as much detail as possible, we decided to republish it in two books: "The Snow Queen and other Fairy Tales" and "Wild Swans and other Fairy Tales".

Among the magnificent monuments of oral folk art, the Tales of Shahrazad are the most monumental monument. These fairy tales express with amazing perfection the desire of the working people to surrender to the "enchantment of sweet fictions", the free play of words, express the exuberant power of the flowery imagination of the peoples of the East - Arabs, Persians, Hindus. This verbal textile was born in ancient times; its multicolored silk threads intertwined all over the earth, covering it with a verbal carpet of amazing beauty.

Leather-bound book "Arabian Tales"
Leather-bound book "Arabian Tales"
The stories included in the illustrated edition of Arab Tales, which are very diverse in style and content, originate from Arabic, Iranian and Indian folklore. This is a kaleidoscope of events and images of a bygone era with a motley flavor of morals and everyday life of various segments of the population during the reign of the Baghdad Caliph Harun ar-Rashid. The connecting link of all the fairy tales is the wise and well-read daughter of the Vizier Scheherazade. Fleeing from the massacre of Shahriyar, who turned against all women after treason, Scheherazade distracts the tyrant from his dark thoughts with his stories and ignites his curiosity, interrupting his story at the most interesting place! Jinns and sorcerers, treasures sealed with a secret word, magic rings and lamps, enchanted young men and sly beauties - this is how the bizarre, colorful, mysterious world of Arabic fairy tales opens to the reader.
The whole leather binding is handmade, decorated with gold embossing and an artistic leather insert. The spine is decorated with bandages. The sawn-off is decorated using the Peacock Feather technique. Lace made of silk ribbon. The flyleaf is made of solid designer paper. The book is presented in an original gift box.

Leather-bound book "Myths of the peoples of the world" red
Myths are not fairy tales, and they were not originally intended for a children's audience at all. Their plots are complex and multi-planned, and the images of mythological characters are contradictory and ambiguous. Therefore, the task of the author of the book "Myths of the Peoples of the World for Children" was to tell the most famous world legends simply, entertainingly and accessible, avoiding unnecessary details and confusing collisions. Simplified, schematized? – Yes, absolutely. But this is exactly what is needed for an initial acquaintance with the rich mythological heritage of the peoples of the world. Besides, our publication is not an encyclopedia, a reference book, or a dictionary. We just wanted to introduce the young reader to the legendary characters who are praised and revered by the peoples of Europe, Asia, and America.

The leather-bound book "Fairy Tales" by Gauf V.
The leather-bound book "Fairy Tales" by Gauf V.
The book includes 8 of the 14 most famous fairy tales of the German romantic Wilhelm Gauf (1802-1827), which have not lost their popularity for two hundred years. This desperate reveller in his student years at the Faculty of theology, and then a home teacher of the children of the nobility and a novice writer who tried to become the "German Walter Scott", knew some secret of composing entertaining fairy tales, just as poets and songwriters create songs from a combination of the most ordinary words and simple memorable melodies that then the whole nation sings. After the translations of the book of Arabic fairy tales "1001 nights" into European languages, this genre experienced a rebirth and its "golden age" in national literatures. The difference between Gauf's fairy tales from the archaic and cruel fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, Raspe's burlesque fantasies, Hoffmann's grotesques or Andersen's "fairy tales for girls" is that they are addressed to an extremely wide audience. Little Muck, Dwarf Nose, stories about the heart of stone and the ship of the dead - who doesn't know them today?

Leather-bound book "Collection of fairy tales by A. S. Pushkin"
Leather-bound book "Collection of fairy tales by A. S. Pushkin"
The Tales of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin is a cycle of poetic works by the poet, written in the 1820s and 1830s. "What a delight these fairy tales are! Everyone is a poem,– Pushkin wrote, impressed by the stories of his nanny Arina Rodionovna, who brought to him the splendor and wisdom of folk art. – What a luxury, what a meaning, what a sense in every saying of ours! What gold!"
Fairy tales teach children that good will always be rewarded and evil punished, the brave and honest will win, the patient will wait, and the truth will prevail. This is best expressed in folk tales. Lived feelings together with fairy-tale characters make us kinder and more merciful, bolder and stronger. His works help to understand what is good and what is bad, teach you to make the right choice in life and do the right thing. They also warn against betrayal and deception. Many of his novels and poems teach the reader to be attentive to the people around them, to appreciate them for their actions, for their feelings, and not for the positions they occupy.
