About this product
Myths are not fairy tales, and they were not originally intended for a children's audience at all. Their plots are complex and multi-planned, and the images of mythological characters are contradictory and ambiguous. Therefore, the task of the author of the book "Myths of the Peoples of the World for Children" was to tell the most famous world legends simply, entertainingly and accessible, avoiding unnecessary details and confusing collisions. Simplified, schematized? – Yes, absolutely. But this is exactly what is needed for an initial acquaintance with the rich mythological heritage of the peoples of the world. Besides, our publication is not an encyclopedia, a reference book, or a dictionary. We just wanted to introduce the young reader to the legendary characters who are praised and revered by the peoples of Europe, Asia, and America.
