The novel "Nana" was first published in 1880. It became the ninth work of the large-scale literary cycle "Rougon—Macquarie", created by one of the most famous representatives of French naturalism - Emile Zola.
The fate of the novel's main character, the Parisian cocotte, vividly demonstrates the underside of French life during the Second Empire.
The text is given in the translation by T. Irinova. The book concludes with an essay on Zola's work and the cycle of his novels "Rougon-Macquarie". The publication is decorated with color illustrations by the French engraver and painter Sha Laborde.
