The book by the English writer Henry Rider Haggard (1856-1925) includes two of his most famous novels. The historical novel "Cleopatra" takes the reader to Ancient Egypt. A papyrus scroll found in one of the pyramids tells the story of real historical figures - Cleopatra, Antonia... The action of the historical novel "The Beautiful Margaret" takes place mainly in Spain at the end of the XV century, despite the fact that one of the main characters is the English King Henry VII. The plot of the novel is dramatically saturated: chases, pursuits, unpredictable turns.
