The exact date of birth of the author of the book is not known. There is an opinion that he was born before our era in the first century and passed away in 55. Very little is known about his life, except for only two cases that can be called verified. The first of these cases is that the author died from a love potion that his wife presented to him. And the second fact, which is already connected with the book "On the Nature of Things", is that his poem was released posthumously under the project of Cicero himself. The author Titus Lucretius Carus, with a flourish that surprises even the current reader, declares that there are innate laws behind all earthly actions and completely denies the divine intrusion into these events. Titus Lucretius Carus was an adherent of the philosophical materialism of the ancient Greeks. Of course, the book "On the Nature of Things" is unique, and will be an excellent souvenir for a person who is interested in Roman history.
