Vladimir Bekhterev is a Russian physician, physiologist, psychiatrist, neurologist, founder of reflexology and researcher of the brain. Throughout his life, the scientist made about 30 scientific discoveries related to the structure of the brain, opened the world's first neurosurgical department at Kazan University and the world's first neuroscientific training center in St. Petersburg. Thanks to him, the scientific journal Neurological Bulletin was founded, which is published to this day, and more than 50 medical institutions. An outstanding German scientist, Friedrich Kopsch, once said: "Only two people know the secret of the brain: God and Bekhterev."
