A folding magnifying glass with a lens diameter of 50 mm., and a sixfold magnification is decorated with a stylization of the royal half of 1830.
Obverse: The imperial crown is located at the top of the coin. Below on four lines there is an inscription: PURE SILVER 2 GOLD = 10 1/2 FRACTIONS Under it is a straight line and the designation "S.P.B." (St. Petersburg Mint). There is a laurel branch along the edge on the left, and an oak branch on the right. The branches are intertwined with a ribbon from below. Embossed teeth are minted along the edge of the coin.
Reverse: The State Emblem of the Russian Empire is depicted in the center — a double-headed eagle with outstretched and lowered wings. On the eagle's chest is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield with George the Victorious riding on a horse, striking a snake with a long spear (the head of the snake on the right). The coat of arms, above the heads of the eagle, is crowned with the imperial crown. The eagle holds, intertwined with the ribbon of the Order of St. St. Andrew the First—Called, thunderbolts and a torch in his right paw and a laurel wreath in his left. Letters under the ribbon: "N" on the left, "G" on the right. Initials of the Mintsmeister Nikolai Grachev. Above the eagle, the denomination designation is a circular inscription "HALF a COIN." separated by a six—pointed star. Under the eagle is the year of coinage "1830." The collar is decorated with short teeth.
