Bezhetsky) (1852-1922) and the novels "Life" (1883) translated by Alexandra Nikolaevna Chebotarevskaya (1870-1925) and "Dear Friend" (1885) translated by Anastasia Nikolaevna Chebotarevskaya (1877-1921).
The book is illustrated with drawings by French artists Pierre Georges Jeannio (1848-1934), Jules Marie Auguste Leroux (1871-1954) and Ferdinand Baca (1859-1952).
