Moral reflections on old age, on friendship, on responsibilities. Ready to cross the Rubicon. Marcus Tullius Cicero

Marcus Tullius Cicero, an outstanding Roman lawyer and statesman, was elected consul, was proclaimed father of the fatherland by the Senate, and emperor by the soldiers of the province entrusted to him. However, he remained in the memory of posterity primarily as a wonderful speaker and educator.
The book contains Cicero's philosophical treatises that have not lost their relevance: "On old age", "On friendship" and "On duties". The author convincingly proves that true philosophy strengthens friendship, promotes moral improvement, and also fills with new meaning the inevitable hardships of life: old age, the pain of loss, the loss of loved ones and the expectation of one's own demise.
