He worked hard for a long time for the catch, but let go of the begging fish and asked for nothing in return. He considered the miracle itself to be a reward for himself. The Goldfish tea set consists of a cup holder with a teaspoon. A net braided with algae is the main part of the cup holder, harmoniously combined with a handle made in the form of an old man pulling his seine. The lightness and realism of the seine is surprisingly in harmony with the fabulous, sometimes humorous, image of the old man. His figure seems exhausted by long labors, but his face is frozen with genuine amazement at the unusual catch. An integral part of the composition is the goldfish itself, placed at the top of the wave — the tip of a teaspoon. The composition dynamically turns into a dialogue between an old man and a Goldfish.
