The watches of the Uglich Watch Factory are an example of the oldest Russian traditions of watchmaking. The factory's products are known to the generation of our mothers and grandmothers, who at one time wore miniature "Chaika" wristwatches, which were considered a model of chic at that time. Their grace, beauty, and reliability spoke better about product quality than any advertisement. In 1995, a new company was formed in Uglich – the "Zvezda Watch Factory", which quickly became one of the leaders of watch manufacturers in Russia and became the largest "interior watch manufacturing company" in the former Soviet Union.
