A stick with autographs of Soviet hockey legends: Romishevsky, Alexander Ragulin, Vladimir Lutchenko and others

The stick from the Stargift collection was autographed by real legends of Soviet hockey: Vyacheslav Starshinov, Alexander Yakushev, Boris Mikhailov, Vladimir Petrov, Valery Kharlamov, Viktor Polupanov, Vladimir Vikulov, Anatoly Firsov, Igor Romishevsky, Alexander Ragulin, Vladislav Tretyak, Valery Vasiliev, Evgeny Minakov, Vladimir Shadrin and Alexander Maltsev. These hockey players are players of the world-famous USSR national ice hockey team. They also made up the team in the year 1970 indicated on the stick. The last one also shows the team's head coach, Honored Master of Sports, Honored Coach of the USSR Arkady Chernyshev and coach, Honored Master of Sports, Honored Coach of the USSR Anatoly Tarasov.

The team successfully played in the USSR championships, and in 1970, as a result of winning the World Championship in Stockholm, it was recognized as the strongest in the world. The main achievement of the national team is the victory at the 1972 Olympic Games in Sapporo. The team was experiencing a number of difficulties at that moment, as it was going through a "generational change." The careers of such pillars as Vitaly Davydov and Alexander Ragulin, Igor Romishevsky and Viktor Kuzkin, Anatoly Firsov and Evgeny Mishakov were nearing the end.

Nevertheless, the "veterans" did not let down in the confrontations, and the young players with their support did not flinch in difficult moments of the match. The Soviet ice team unconditionally won its third Olympic gold in a row, defeating the teams of Finland (9:3), the USA (7:2), Poland (9:3) and Czechoslovakia (5:2) in turn. And only once did Anatoly Tarasov's team draw. This happened in the second match, in which the USSR hockey players faced the Swedish team (3:3). The brilliant national team of the Soviet Union in 1972 once again confirmed that it is the flagship of the entire hockey art.
