Igor Stravinsky is a Russian composer, one of the largest representatives of the world musical culture of the XX century.
The note next to the composer's autograph also contains the address of his house: 1260 North Wetherly Drive Hollywood.
Eric Walter White's book Stravinsky: The Composer and His Works describes the moment of the composer's arrival in Los Angeles and his place of residence. The first footnote on page 93 reads: "124 South Swallow Drive, Beverly Hills, May-November 1940; Chateau Marmont, Hollywood, March-April 1941 and North Wetherly Drive, Hollywood, after that."
Igor Stravinsky was one of the most efficient composers. His legacy includes more than 7.5 thousand pages of musical scores. He could work 18 hours a day, his standard working day even in old age lasted 10 hours.
