Billy Joel is an American songwriter and pianist, one of the six most famous U.S. artists in the history of the country. Winner of six Grammy Awards, including in such nominations as Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

If a rock music fan in the 1970s saw a poster with the inscription "Rocket Man meets Piano Man" ("Astronaut meets Pianist"), it was clear to him that we were talking about a joint concert by Elton John and Billy Joel. The fact that both of these characters were pianists did not confuse anyone, because they got their nicknames not because of their commitment to the instrument, but because of hits with the same names.
