Mick Jagger is a British rock musician, actor, producer, and vocalist of the rock band The Rolling Stones. He has been a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1998 and the UK Music Hall of Fame since 2004.
Despite Jagger's infamous lifestyle, he was a pretty exemplary student as a child. According to the history teacher, Jagger was a "sober, thoughtful student" and excelled in his studies. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the London School of Economics as an accountant, but dropped out a year later to pursue music. While many would call this step stupid for almost anyone, it turned out to be absolutely the right thing for Jagger.
Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are the only members of The Rolling Stones to have played in the band since its founding in 1962. The rock music legends who founded the iconic band met back in high school.
In the 60s, Jagger was a true symbol of the rock and roll era and appeared many times on the cover of the famous American music magazine Rolling Stone, becoming one of the publication's record holders. In 2003, when Mick turned 60, Queen Elizabeth II awarded him the title of knight for services to music.
