This edition is the predecessor and analogue of the large "Book on Delicious and Healthy Food", published in 1952 (also presented in the Stargift collection). It contains a large number of recipes for cold appetizers, salads, first and second courses, sauces, as well as various flour and confectionery products.
This book really was a kind of experiment. Pursuing the goal of creating a cheaper kitchen based on simple and low-risk products. Hence such recipes as "Sprats with boiled potatoes", "Boiled sausage, fried with potatoes" (by the way, dishes with potatoes in its various variations make up 70% of the entire assortment), "Chopped cutlets with pasta", "Carrot cutlets with sour cream sauce", "Pearl barley meatballs", "Pasta with roots", "Barley coffee with milk".
