We rarely think about the origin of vases. Admiring their perfect shapes, we put flowers in vases and perceive these products as an exquisite interior detail. According to archaeologists, the first potter's wheel was found in Mesopotamia in the IV millennium BC, which means that it was then that people tried to create dishes. And, considering the finds of the past centuries, we appreciate their beauty and elegance. However, you must agree that modern vases are no less original and complex in shape, they are made from a wide variety of materials, and sometimes they belong in a museum, not on the dining table. However, antique products also have their own charm and unsurpassed flavor…

Crystal Flower Frame

Ancient philosophers said that the sky settles to the ground in flowers. That's probably why people have always tried to put cut flowers in spectacular vases so that the house would be filled with fragrance and beauty. Flower vases are always popular — they are gladly given and accepted as a gift. It is impossible to remain indifferent to the magnificent crystal vase "Boston" from Avdeev Crystal — an indispensable attribute of luxurious interiors. The royal crystal shines and seems to be woven from diamonds.

Another juicy green crystal vase "Peacock" causes delight and surprise. Its design is reminiscent of peacock feathers — and all thanks to the creativity of the Swedish masters of the famous Maleras glass factory. The flowers in this vase will always look magical, but it is quite self-sufficient on its own. Everything related to peacocks attracts love, wealth and luck to the house — at least, that's what feng shui experts say. In general, there is no better gift to find!

The sophistication and beauty of porcelain

Porcelain flower vases have always been considered a model of elegance in interior design. No wonder! This finest noble material embodies the classic canons of beauty. Admire the Chinese vase with a Fish pattern by Tatyana Chapurgina, whose works are kept in the Hermitage and the Russian Museum. Now the creations of this talented porcelain artist can be bought in our store.

Another spectacular vase from the Imperial (Lomonosov) Porcelain Factory, painted with irises, pleases the eye with its elegance and rich palette. It is also referred to as Chinese vases. But why, if these products are made in Russia? The fact is that Chinese vases are a special style with their own characteristics. Vases with fish and irises, for example, belong to the category of "mapin" or "plum" vases. They are distinguished by a small round base and a narrow neck, while the vessel is wide enough. And there are "pear" vases with a long narrow neck, in which water and wine were stored — for example, a bright red vase "Two Herons" or "Flowers" with a bizarre yellow-white pattern. Now there are similar models with a handle and a spout.

Square Chinese vases, which are called kong-shaped, are considered the most ancient — they were found in tombs during archaeological excavations. We have a similar Turandot model with a delightful natural pattern, however, it is made at the German factory Rosenthal GmbH.

The beauty of natural stones

More recently, vases made of natural stones decorated only churches and chapels. Now they can be found not only in fashionable hotels and restaurants, but also in country houses and city apartments. These bright and spectacular accessories look very harmonious in any setting.

The Classic is a magnificent malachite vase with dolerite. She looks very elegant, besides, according to Feng Shui, malachite fills the space with streams of powerful, positive, ever-renewing energy. In the sun, the vase shimmers with all shades of green!

A colorful pair of vases "Birds" is made of jasper and decorated with gilded bronze. The outlandish colors of this unusual stone with streaks and specks allow you to create unique creations. Two identical vases in the set are completely different from each other (which is typical for jasper), and this is their true artistic value. The ancients called jasper the stone of life, because it strengthens health and gives longevity.

A mesmerizing honey—colored amber vase is a real decoration of our catalog. It is made of pieces of amber using mosaic technology, and its classic outlines are repeated by antique flowerpots. If we consider that amber is a stone of love, family well—being and good luck, then vases made of this miraculous stone acquire special value.

The captivating magic of beauty

What other unusual vases can you find in our store? A wooden vase with Khokhloma painting looks very interesting, which combines both the beauty of folk art and functionality. And the vase "Blooming", richly decorated with stained glass enamel and silver, pleases with the play of light reflected in multi-colored inserts. There is always something magical, fabulous, and attractive in the iridescence of the stained glass…

The bronze vase, cast from bronze by Spanish craftsmen, seems to be found only in an ancient castle — this product is so luxurious! And the original vase "Nest" from the modern semi-marble seems quite minimalistic, but there is some mystery and understatement in its conciseness. At least, I want to look at it for a long time, it's too unusual. However, the floor-standing vase dress surpassed all the others, because it has a quite tangible hem, neckline and flowing drapery.

Some vases are designed for table setting — for example, an aristocratic beauty in the shape of a shell made of shining crystal or an openwork vase "Boucher" made of porous ceramics in the Renaissance style from the Italian porcelain brand Bruno Costenaro. And some vases seem to have been created for a ladies' boudoir, at least the "Ribbon Dance" in the form of a beautiful dancer from the Italian creative workshop Venturi Arte is difficult to imagine anywhere else.

Candy and fruit bowls in the interior

There is another category of vases — fruit bowls and candy bowls designed for table setting and beautiful serving of fruits and desserts. There are real masterpieces among them! Take a look at the amazing stainless steel vase "Monstera Leaf" in the form of a veined sheet — it was made by American designer Michael Aram, a specialist in working with metal. Very interesting products are made of glass like the indigo Manta vase, although this model can be made in different sizes and shades.

How exquisite the "Dream" candy bowl made of carved birch bark looks! It is decorated with amber, garnet and lapis lazuli. The "Butterfly" vase made of brass, painted by masters from Chrysostom and decorated with cubic zirconia, competes with it in attractiveness. It is no coincidence that the Zlatoust engraving is called a "poem in metal" — thanks to this unique folk craft, you can create samples of true beauty, mesmerizing with their grace and royal splendor.

The silver candy bowl "Inspiration", woven from lace patterns, looks like a stone flower from Bazhov's fairy tale. And all this is thanks to the finest filigree technique with ornate ornaments on 925 sterling silver. The crystal basket vase "Lukoshko" from the Gusevsky Crystal Factory, shimmering with all shades of amber, is very original. The crystal vase "Candy" from the same manufacturer really has the shape of a candy with a core in blue tones.

The vase that you choose as a gift can be decorated with an inscription. This way the gift becomes more sincere, personal and unique…
