Yulia Fedotova, an artist and a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, went to the Tuva reservation in search of inspiration. There she was struck by the pristine nature — endless steppes, sacred mountains, healing springs and the hospitality of nomadic families. The contrast between the leisurely lifestyle of nomads and the hustle and bustle of civilization awakened in her a deep sense of freedom, liveliness and organic human movement in space — qualities inherent in her subsequent sculptures.
