Bronze sculpture "Goldfish" on an amethyst druze
The bronze sculpture "Goldfish" is an expressive interior composition created in the tradition of a jewelry art object. The base is natural agate and amethyst: the stone is preserved in a natural, living form, so that the work is perceived not as an ordinary decorative statuette, but as a fragment of the underwater world, lifted from the depths and turned into a collector's item. The fish's figure is made of jeweler's bronze with a patina, decorated with natural turquoise, rauchtopazes in the eyes and Swarovski crystals, emphasizing the relief plastic of scales, fins and tail.
The contrast of materials is especially valuable in the composition. The harsh texture of the amethyst druse with its crystalline radiance sets off the bronze plastic of the fish, and the natural agate adds a complex pattern of earthy layers and mineral veins to the base. Turquoise inclusions on the case look like flashes of marine light, roundtopazes add depth to the look, and patina reveals the volume of each fold of metal, enhancing the feeling of handwork. The fish seems to come out of a rock, combining the natural element, jewelry detailing and the image of a fabulous creature born from minerals.
The image of a goldfish is traditionally associated with luck, fulfillment of desires and a rare gift that comes to someone who knows how to see the value in beauty. In this work, the fabulous symbol is read not literally, but exquisitely and maturely: instead of light decorativeness, it is a complex sculptural form saturated with textures, precious accents and the natural energy of the stone. Such a composition is suitable for an office, a living room, a private collection or a representative interior, where an art object should not just decorate the space, but speak about taste, status and attention to rare author's items.
