The author's bronze sculpture "Wild Boar Hunting"

The wild boar has long been a coveted trophy of hunters all over the world. This is a serious, intelligent and quick-witted beast. He is always ready to stand up for himself, and at the same time he can be very dangerous.

Wild boars have been hunted since ancient times both for meat and for entertainment. Many images of a fight between hunting dogs and a wild boar, which always defends itself to the last, have come down to us. "Putting down" a wild boar is the dream of any hunter. In England of the XVI century, boar hunting was loved by King Henry VIII and his daughter Elizabeth I. Both monarchs considered an invitation to hunt the highest sign of respect and honored them only with especially important guests.

It is believed that the boar brings good luck and peace to the house. The boar is a symbol of the struggle for one's honor and dignity, for success in society, and for material well—being.
