To identify rare and little-known samples of weapons, the authors had to turn to the funds of regional Russian museums located in Vladimir, Dmitrov, Izhevsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kostroma, Omsk, Perm and Chita. A significant contribution to the creation of a complete collection of weapons samples was made by private domestic and foreign collectors.
