Throughout the history of mankind, fishing has been one of the most important, and for many peoples the main source of livelihood and farming. The forms and methods of fishing, as well as the tools, were very diverse, and changed over time. With the advent of trade, fishing gradually began to take the form of fishing, and in recent times it has acquired an industrial character.
The proposed publication "Fishing in Russia with all tools and at all seasons" was published in 1876 in Moscow and is one of the early attempts to compile the most complete and detailed guide for anglers. To write the book, a number of foreign and Russian works on fishing were analyzed and worked out. The publication is thematically divided into three departments. The first section examines fish species, their lives, habits and habitats. The second one contains a list of commercial and hunting tools for fishing. The third section offers practical tips and recommendations for catching each fish breed.
The guide is an indispensable source of practical information and will be equally useful for both beginners and experienced anglers.
