Tales of the Thousand and One Nights is a monument to medieval Arabic and Persian literature, a collection of short stories united by the story of the Persian king Shahriyar and his wife named Shahrazada (Scheherazade). The question of the origin and development of "1001 nights" has not been fully clarified to date. Attempts to search for the ancestral home of this collection in India, made by its first researchers, have not yet received sufficient justification. The prototype of the "Nights" on Arab soil was probably a translation of the Persian collection "Hezar Efsane" (A Thousand Fairy Tales) made in the tenth century. This translation, called "A Thousand Nights" or "A Thousand and One Nights", was, as Arab writers of that time testify, very popular in the capital of the eastern caliphate, in Baghdad. We cannot judge his character, since only the story framing him, which coincides with the frame of "1001 nights", has reached us. Various stories were inserted into this convenient frame at different times, sometimes whole cycles of stories, in turn framed, such as "The Tale of the Hunchback", "The Porter and the Three Girls" and others. Individual fairy tales of the collection, before their inclusion in the written text, often existed independently, sometimes in a more widespread form. It can be reasonably assumed that the first editors of the text of fairy tales were professional storytellers who borrowed their material directly from oral sources; under the dictation of the storytellers, fairy tales were recorded by booksellers who sought to satisfy the demand for the manuscripts of "1001 nights".

The leather-bound book by Daniel Defoe "Robinson Crusoe"
Will a man have the courage to go on a sea voyage again after a shipwreck? And will he be able to live on a desert island for twenty-eight years, two months and nineteen days? Adventure literature has always attracted the artist Igor Ilyinsky. He illustrated Mayne Reed and Anatoly Rybakov, Fenimore Cooper and the Strugatsky brothers. And the story of Robinson Crusoe could hardly leave an artist indifferent - a connoisseur of historical epochs, a polymath, a master of reliable details. The most complete edition of the works of Antoine de Saint-Exupery (1900-1944) in Russian. The first volume includes the novels "Southern Postal", "Night Flight" and the novellas "Planet of People", "Military Pilot", "Little Prince".
The second volume: the essay "Citadel", the result of the writer's creative search. Work on the book lasted about ten years and was interrupted by the tragic death of Saint-Exupery during another combat mission.
The third volume presents Saint-Exupery's artistic journalism from the books "The Meaning of Life" and "Military Notes 1939-1944" with the greatest completeness. An addition is the long-unpublished letters to the mother and friend of Rene de Saussin's youth. This is not only a personal correspondence revealing the identity of the writer.
It was in the letters, sometimes resembling small prose poems, that the unique literary style of Saint-Exupery was born and honed. The published photographic material represents the writer in various periods of his life.

Gift collection of books "Harry Potter" by J. K. Rowling, in 7 volumes

Seven volumes wrapped in historical French binding transport you to the epic of J. K. Rowling in a unique format that becomes a real work of art.
Each volume is a masterpiece. The multi-level embossing on the cover creates the illusion of volume, where patterns and symbols come to life under your fingers, like spells left by a craftsman. Each book has its own story: Hogwarts Castle, the snake silhouette or the steely gazes of the characters appear in the form of detailed patterns inspiring respect for the traditions of bookbinding.
The luxurious book blocks are hand-polished, and bright thematic drawings are applied to the edges of the pages, turning each opening into an aesthetic ritual. The stories included in the illustrated edition of Arab Tales, which are very diverse in style and content, originate from Arabic, Iranian and Indian folklore. This is a kaleidoscope of events and images of a bygone era with a motley flavor of morals and everyday life of various segments of the population during the reign of the Baghdad Caliph Harun ar-Rashid. The connecting link of all the fairy tales is the wise and well-read daughter of the Vizier Scheherazade. Fleeing from the massacre of Shahriyar, who turned against all women after treason, Scheherazade distracts the tyrant from his dark thoughts with his stories and ignites his curiosity, interrupting his story at the most interesting place! Jinns and sorcerers, treasures sealed with a secret word, magic rings and lamps, enchanted young men and sly beauties - this is how the bizarre, colorful, mysterious world of Arabic fairy tales opens to the reader.
