The leather-bound book "The Snow Queen and other fairy tales" by G. H. Andersen

The circulation is 100 numbered copies. In 1890, the Danish publisher E. Boyesen began a large—scale work - the publication of Andersen's fairy tales with new illustrations by Hans Tegner simultaneously in five languages, including Russian. The artist executed 42 large engravings and 189 drawings for this edition. It was recognized all over the world that in the person of Tegner, the famous Danish storyteller for the first time found an equal in talent and imagination of an illustrator. The magnificent book of Andersen's fairy tales with illustrations by G. Tegner, published in the publishing house of A.F. Devrien in 1899, has long been a rarity - it is very difficult to find a copy in perfect preservation. In an effort to present this truly priceless material in as much detail as possible, we decided to republish it in two books: "The Snow Queen and other Fairy Tales" and "Wild Swans and other Fairy Tales".
