Small Koran with filigree, molding and garnets in a suede box
Filigree is an ancient jewelry technique that is now owned by a few craftsmen. The delicate sophistication resembles lace, but it is woven not from malleable threads, but from unruly metal.
100% manual manufacturing technology is complex and painstaking. The thinnest wire is pulled from gold, silver or copper, which is flattened with a roller or twisted into twisted cords. The master bends each element of the intricate pattern separately, and then solders the smallest fragments into a single whole. The wirework is complemented by grain (tiny metal balls), which makes the complex texture even richer.
Each filigree piece is unique in its splendor. The curls shining with silver and gilding will captivate the gaze and conquer the heart of true aesthetes immediately and forever, forcing them to admire intently and tirelessly.
