Confucius is an ancient Chinese thinker, historian, philosopher and statesman. His teachings had a profound impact on the life of China and the whole world, becoming the basis of a philosophical system that later became known as "Confucianism". During his lifetime, the teachings of Confucius were not recognized by either the rulers or their subjects. It was only thanks to the efforts of the philosopher's students that his priceless thoughts and judgments were preserved.
