Anatoly Fedorovich Koni (1844-1927) is the man who did the most in our history for the formation of civil society in Russia. Being an outstanding speaker, theorist and practitioner of jurisprudence, he took an active part in the transformation of the judicial system during the reign of Alexander II and his successors. Kony personally knew many of the "fathers and children" of judicial reform, to whom real memories are dedicated.
This book is interesting not only from a historical point of view - its relevance is beyond doubt even today, when Russian society is solving essentially the same tasks that A. F. Koni and his associates faced.
