Gift book "Life and catching freshwater fish" with overlays

To popularize hunting in Russia, L.P.Sabaneev alone did as much as a hundred institutions could not do. He organized the first hunting clubs in Russia, published beautifully illustrated nature and hunting magazines at his own expense, his efforts created the first nature lovers societies in the country, and his exhibitions gathered thousands of fans. Sabaneev even managed to organize a simultaneous "census" of hunting throughout Russia.

Sabaneyev's writing talent and his love of nature were appreciated by Ch.Darwin and the Prince of Monaco, I.S. Turgenev and members of the Romanov royal family, and among the old-timers of Moscow fishermen, there were enthusiastic legends about his knowledge of the habits of fish and fishing gear.

This book represents part of the rich heritage of L.P.Sabaneev; much of what the famous Russian nature researcher created is still waiting for its publication and worthy evaluation. But the main thing has already been done: the book "Life and catching freshwater fish" can make the most avid skeptic fall in love with fishing.
