About this product
The library presents the best works of Russian literature for ten centuries (X–XX centuries). This is the most complete collection of Russian classics: from the authors of Ancient Russia to the writers and poets of the late twentieth century. It contains all the works that no library can do without: Pushkin and Tolstoy, Turgenev and Dostoevsky, Chekhov and Bunin… It also includes works by Shukshin, Solzhenitsyn, Kaverin, Kataev and other classics of Russian literature of our time. Poetry is no less fully represented: from Cantemir, Derzhavin and Zhukovsky to Simonov, Brodsky and Rozhdestvensky.
Each volume is provided with a preface and comments that help to present the writer's literary path and to understand his work more deeply. The authors of the forewords and commentaries are well—known critics and literary critics: S. Bocharov, A. Turkov, E. Shklovsky, P. Basinsky, B. Sarnov, K. Azadovsky, L. Lazarev, L. Saraskina, N. Ivanova, M. Chudakova, N. Bogomolov, O. Mayorova, Yu. Mann.
