Souvenir dirk "George the Victorious" on a stand, Zlatoust

The souvenir dirk "George the Victorious", made in the technique of gilded engraving of Chrysostom, is not just a decorative item, but an allegorical artifact with a deep symbolic meaning. Heroism and the triumph of justice are intertwined in his composition: the legendary saint on a rampant horse, piercing a serpent with a spear, stands on a marble pedestal topped by a heraldic shield with a large cabochon insert in a rich cherry shade. The metal elements of the dirk are finished in gold, covered with filigree engraving and decorated with scarlet accents reminiscent of rubies. The guard is encrusted with sparkling crystals, giving the weapon a ceremonial shine.

The blade is encased in a luxurious sheath decorated with a similar etching and enamel technique. The hilt and blade are decorated in the same style with an abundance of gilded curls, geometric ornaments and ruby-red elements. The stand with the figure of George, made in gold and silver tinting, rests on a marble disk framed by a thin gold border and complemented by small decorative stones at the corners. The shield placed behind the saint's back gives the whole composition monumentality and completeness, emphasizing the idea of protection and victory.

This item is intended for a hall where the most important negotiations are held, or an office filled with the silence of decisions on which fate depends. Such a dirk is not just a sign of strength and authority, but also a recognition of a cultural code where heroism, Orthodoxy and statehood are intertwined in a single image. It is suitable for a collector, aesthete, diplomat, politician — someone who is looking for not only beauty, but also meaning in every object.
